QUOTE(sonyman @ Jan 28 2010, 11:38 AM) wah, sifu here, yes i have the 10 steps, digital camera, still playing with the f and shutter speed. but my pictures are kind of grainy, maybe i will post them here and let some of you say about it later. now cannot. okay my version of reply.. hahathe manual i read until Auto focusing last night and then went to sleep. still basic. plus i have dont know how that i damage my motor of my AF lens, its making squiking sound, when i turn on AF, happened on Tuesday night, tomorrow got to ask what happen.. Defination of cool here is , Super high quality, eye washing pictures, so i wanna ask now, what does ISO do? as far as i have tested out, high iso nice dark area becomes bright, still wondering on the Aperture and Shuttle adjustments., dont know which is for what, i only know the shuttle speed turn down till i see bulb, then i know it is for very slow shuttle., Probably been playing the camera too much with no direction, due to excitement, but is there any way to start playing first? Added on January 28, 2010, 11:42 am good statement, i was at rengit yesterday afternoon, was a orang asli kampung, then took my camera out is like taking a gun out, everyone looked at me like "what the hell this guy want to do with that camera" then i started shooting, then i kena marah " apa tangkap gambar " so i stopped apologise and freaked out, went into my car then quickly drove off before they cooked me and my camera in curry hahaha.... probably i will shoot in a park better, at least the plants wont eat you... i suspect ur pictures are grainy because of high ISO setting. try not to go above 1600 or so. the lower it is, the less grain u get. i think u can just set it at 800 first, then dont think about it until u master what is Aperture and Shutter Speed. try to shoot outdoors 1st so u wont have to deal with bad lighting (which is a challenge even for pros) erm autofocus got noise, because the lens have to shift accordingly. i wont call it squeaking though, but there's definitely a noise lah u wont learn anything if u use the preset modes. juz put on Auto if u want to take pictures of events n stuff. but on ur own time, spend time learning about the P, S, A, and M modes. the steps in digital camera magazine was pretty good. instead of just looking at the pictures, why dont u try the explanations for urself? |

QUOTE(lighter @ Jan 28 2010, 02:48 PM) Actually I'm quite boring with DCM already.. almost every issue repeat the same thing.. i just enjoy the those reviews, Hotshots and Your Mission.. they stated that they're going to change the format...so cheers to thatthe one thing i dont really like about this magazine is those photoshop tips. im not a photoshop pro la, but i want to read more about actually taking pictures instead of editing them. got photoshop magazine what ;p |

QUOTE(Isepunye @ Jan 28 2010, 04:28 PM) thats why i said it is important to know what outcome u want in order to know the right setting. it will be vary one person to others as people has different like. haha i really like this. very true also for event shoot, some1 told me that 3 important thing to get when u already improve for the above class 1 - biar gmbar sempit jangan bising (mean small DOF) 1 - biar gambar bising jangan bergerak (blur blur image) 2 - biar gambar bergerak jangan gelap (if dark image, what u will see? nothing except black rite?) |

QUOTE(Isepunye @ Feb 3 2010, 10:08 AM) it was only initial setting bro... instead of using patterns like that for the graphic, why not some of ur shots?no problem to CnC. glad to have one. im planning if i ever has my name card, i will put the detail, contact and real name at the back. for the front side, i prefer to keep it clean. thx bro QUOTE(thomsasa86 @ Feb 3 2010, 04:49 PM) i agree with others..juz skip the UV filter n buy at another shop. i think at least get the hoya HMC... i bought 52mm for rm120. no flare so far. my cheapo filter last time flare was horrible, so many pics had to fix in photoshop |

QUOTE(noobie1 @ Feb 6 2010, 09:43 AM) that not related to manual focus...the problem is the lens is too close to the subject...and kit lens are not macro lens... i think it does. i noticed sometimes AF refuse to focus if the subject is too near. switch to MF then can focus no problembut of course the subject still has to be further than the MFD lah. juz that AF sometimes cannot focus if it's too near to the MFD |

QUOTE(Sp00kY @ Feb 6 2010, 11:50 AM) u have to know how AF works....not that it refuses to focus when it is too near but it CANT focus. ya i know.. AF cannot/refuse to focus under certain colours e.g. the white paper u mentioned. im juz saying juz bcuz it cant focus doesnt necessarily mean it's because of MFDtry focusing on a piece of white paper be it near/far.....u will realized that it cant focus fast enuf too...so it is not the matter of near/far.. often we have to know where to focus when using different focus point (coz only mid point is a crossed sensor) 18-105mm MFD is 45cm 50mm 1.8 MFD is 45cm 18-200 MFD is 50cm MFD is calculated from sensor plane to the subject IINM |
