Just bought a D90 kit upgraded from D5000.. Need to get use to looking at the small screen on top of the camera because the big screen will always need to press the info button which D5000 does not have as it will automatically display when you press the shutter.
Another question can anyone explain to me the usage of the button below the lense? on the left hand side bottom of the lense

The top LCD is one of the reason I got the D90 over the D5000. Easier to use . That bottom I think is for DOF preview if I'm not mistaken.

Actually, before SB-900 come out, people use SB-800 for birding. So, basically, as long as your flash charges fast enough, it's fine The 200mm is plain bullshit , at least for me.

QUOTE(the_tranny @ Mar 12 2010, 03:01 PM) To put it bluntly ... yes SB600 is less intelligent than SB900 plus its just built that way ... not enough power. The SB600 has a moving head inside to adjust for a more focused beam just like the SB800/900, but it doesnt have the whole snooty winged bla bla built inside for a more advanced concentration like the SB900 has. But personally, ive seen the SB600 working just fine at 105mm full power .. but thats it. For my need and style of photography, the SB600 wont do it at ...say 110 and longer. just got myse;f SB600 and found out it less practical rather then my SB900. the quality also different to me eventho im using wide area. BTW all my lens are below 105mm. rarely used my sigma 18200. even at below 105, the different can be noticeable also to me or it just me dont know how to used SB600. i also found dat sb600 control abit fussy to me. but now i want t rest my sb900. serve me good so far. i have no issue on SB900. simply love it Added on March 13, 2010, 4:04 pmQUOTE(dvlzplayground @ Mar 13 2010, 01:04 AM) ^ what if during outdoors? but just want to light up one person for a tight portrait wahhh so far away also want to used flash? no hassle on SB900 as fill in flash required less power. just to bright up abit for certain area. i tried portrait 200mm with sb900 full power. outdoor around 5pm. it is bright enuff to shine up her face. budden, why must 200mm for portrait using normal lens? if 200mm F2 is different story la... CLS la brader ape lg... This post has been edited by Isepunye: Mar 13 2010, 04:04 PM
