Testing with ghost shrimp is useless, they are just toooo hardy, and they will eat all your stuff.. Better start with cherries as Michanz's advice ! Make sure u cycle water proper before u get cherries, otherwise U r just wasting money..

already got strong light, and ample Co2 supply also...
my tank only does the pearling for a couple of days, but now it does not do much.. only can see some bubble on the tip of the Christmas moss..
got some algae formation too...but i got otto an algae eater to take care of that... my water is clear... but im not sure of the nitrate level in the water..
because i just top up the water every day because it dry up very fast..
do you think that i need 20 - 40% water change?

CO2 prodcued by DIY is not concentrate enough... and not stable supply of CO2 IS the main problem

dont simply control the output of DIY co2, your coke bottle cant last certain pressure.

dont break, your room would be full of sugar yeast water. biggrin.gif
