To all Forte members here, Due to long time period of waiting for the Forte, maybe i will consider change my booking to 308Vti.... Not confirm yet, still in consideration. Reason i really need to car on Jan 2010... I really faced transportation problem when my gf come back from oversea and work at KL. Called the SA and talked to him about this issue, he also cant promise about the expected delivery date on Forte. To Phelix, About the Emblem, I can pay u the money 1st and i will resell it out. Dunno what to post anymore in this forum coz' nothing new on the 2.0sx.
Yup ... appropriate enough the tagline for forte is 'leaving me speechLESS' and clueLESS. What to do .. still want the keyLESS entry, effortLESS cruise control, couldn't care LESS leather-seats and no LESS than 145-155 hp. Hopefully can post again in LESS than the 120 days of my waiting period. One thing for sure, forte's price then wouldn't be LESS than it is today. |

QUOTE(one0202 @ Dec 18 2009, 01:47 AM) can do like that??? nope, its not possible... cause the cc of the car is different.so, better i wait for forte 2.0, then take 1.6sx with 2.0 price.... so no need d/pymnt???? you only able to take the 1.6 litre and apply the highest end model loan while u get the lowest end model, just like proton. u apply highline loan, den u take medium line... something like that |

I test drove the 1.6 SX yesterday for a while. Some notes:
1) Push-button start rocks! 2) Demister is labelled clearly. No guessing which is for rear and front! 3) Auto aircon is amazing! 4) Steering wheel audio control and audio ROCKS! I had fun switching channels, muting it, etc. Only thing is I didn't bring one of my favourite CD's to play. 5) Steering was very light and easy. Steering wheel diameter is so small and sporty, reminds me of Golf GTi! 6) Shifter felt nice, very ergonomic design 7) Pedals were sporty but a bit too shiny. I would prefer drilled hole aluminium for brake and rough surface for the throttle. 8) Rear view window was quite low. Felt like I was driving some sort of sportscar 9) Auto headlights and auto darkening rear view mirror is a plus 10) Safety - dual airbags and ESC. Not bad at all. Ride was firm/sporty but not crashy. I was told it was set at exactly 220 kPA. |

Why mess up the aerodynamics (which are better than Civics) with a bodykit?

QUOTE(ameoba73 @ Dec 18 2009, 07:22 AM) First time fill in petrol mah, try out the RON97, subsequently i will use RON95. See any diff in terms of power. My fren told me his city feels slightly less power when use RON95. many people have 'personal' experiences of difference in power with different ron rated fuels.......that is likely very much a placebo effect........actual power tests in lab conditions shows no significant difference between ron ratings......for ordinary low ron rated engines......however for finely tuned engines, with high ron ratings, there will be a downgrading of the tuning if a lower ron rated fuel is used (the ecu will adjust automatically when it sense knocking), and a perceivable lower power........we are talking bmw's and the likes here........ |

QUOTE(sweetpea123 @ Dec 17 2009, 10:38 PM) I was in the same dilemma as you are. Civic or Forte ? At last I choose Forte cos there are so many features that Civic doesnt have. It felt a bit silly to pay so high for the Civic yet it doesnt have enough gadgets. A bit overpriced and overrated if you ask me. Brand wise and lookwise, Civic has its edge . Korea or Japan doesn't matter . I am a Daewoo n Samsung fan anyway. Hope that helps. thanks bro ...but what you say abt people negative comment on kia's fuel efficiency and resale price? |

I say the prices are NOT GOING DOWN from now on. The fuel efficiency is up to par with Japanese and the design is by the reknowned Audi/VW designer Peter Schreyer. Can't argue with that.
Qualitywise its on par with global quality levels and is doing well in North America, and the safety is top notch. Forte is a car for DISCERNING buyers who do a lot of research. Its the THINKING person's car. |
