Sweetpea123 which SA/dealer is this who can give a cash rebate? Hot seller, long waiting period and already resorting to cash rebates? Good luck then people, this SA is trying to devalue the car and spoil the value of it already!!

Well this is an odd comment. If there were all these 'problems' why is it selling well in the US? Bobby Ang reported on the Facebook fan page that it handles better than his Audi A4!

hey people see this : http://paultan.org/2009/12/12/kia-posts-bi...e-selling-well/ the 2nd last comment : "Kia would recall forte / cerato in no time… there was several problem already in forte’s suspension / handling." Has anyone heard about that ? dont worry guys... these statement might be from some other cars SA(their sales affected).. nuthin official from KIA or NAZA..
|

OMG you installed an alarm system? Did you get anything in writing confirming it won't affect your warranty? The Forte uses multiplex wiring. Cannot cut and join. Not being able to integrate with your remote means ... I don't know but you should assess these add-ons after spending so much on your car.

This Kia Auto Accessories uses the Kia name but are they in any way related to Kia Motors? Hmm!!! Ask if this is approved by Kia Motors R&D. I bet you it's not since they cannot even integrate your key remote.
Are they cutting/splicing any wires? Multiplex means one wire carries more than one signal. Cutting/splicing means the signals will get jumbled up, your car's wiring may go crazy. Added on December 13, 2009, 12:49 amSo sweetpea123 where did you book your car? SA's name? Did you get a discount? QUOTE(sweetpea123 @ Dec 13 2009, 12:48 AM) Dear All, This post has been edited by BikerVoodoo: Dec 13 2009, 12:49 AMI've booked my Forte today. 1st choice : Titanium (apparently very very high demand for this color) 2nd choice : Bright Silver (cos dust is NOT obvious on silver) . I have been reading some pages that says you guys are changing the emblem to Kia/Forte, can someone pls link me to the price and picture cos there are over 100 pages here and I havent had the time to go thru page by page. Thanks in advance . |

The windscreen problem is no longer an issue for Malaysian-spec Forte models, according to www.facebook.com/kiamalaysia
The number of members there are still small though. |

Actually the Schreyer Line is the grille outline itself. Not including the headlights.

Good that you got the name. Call toll-free 1-800-888-542 and report.
Added on December 13, 2009, 11:12 pmYeah but if your multiplex wiring goes crazy and the car needs a major overhaul of its electrical system, will ManCanDo warranty that? I wouldn't risk it. Is it that hard to manually fold your door mirrors? This post has been edited by BikerVoodoo: Dec 13 2009, 11:12 PM |

SIGH! If no one ever reports, they won't improve. Things will stay the same and people will face the same problems.
QUOTE(bbear @ Dec 13 2009, 11:15 PM) Nevermind lah.. I already cool down.. but I did purposely drive cross the bridge there to test the car to verify the noisy cabin problem. Probably wait until the 2.0 is here before testing again.. or when i can find an EX to test out with the 15" wheels. I did told her that.. i actually purposely cross the bridge to visit them for the test drives but they do not care. The worst part is.. I am bringing my father in law there as i need to convince him Korean car is not that bad after all. |

Why is CKD so bad and you trust CBU only? Check the quality of the Optima and Rondo. It is identical to the Forte you see in the showrooms. Sadly in Malaysia people equate CBU or CKD with preconceived notions of QUALITY and quality is what they are really looking for. Ask how many problems have occured in the Optima, Rondo, Spectra5 and Sportage. I've heard of none, and the Optimas are being abused as taxis here in KL too!

[julz the fast paced growth rate is amazing, but Malaysians still believe in 'image' and instead of comparing they automatically believe CKD Melaka is superior, or CKD Thailand/Indonesia or Shah Alam (UMW) is better just because of the Japanese association.
