so cruise control is available after all... thanks to jimmy for the relentless pursuit. tongue.gif

all info from kia malaysia FB page

quote

Cruise Control is only available on the 2.0 SX. 1.6 SX and EX do not have this feature.

not stated on the broucher and any other review?
It must have been a mistake on our part but marketing dept. has been alerted.

The National Press Introduction we organised had only 1.6 SX and EX models.

Mine one near Hui Sing. The sales manager wanted me to pay 10% down payment then can confirm the shipment to Kuching. The RM 1K booking fees didn't guarantee the car. So no choice lor.... If the car doesn't come in December, i will make noise to them everyday smile.gif

According to SA, 4 Forte will be shipped from West Malaysia on 1st Dec 09. 3 for Kuching and 1 for Miri . Thus can settle everything by mid of Dec09. Anyway, this is just the sales man talking, i don't know how true in actual.

BEWARE OF PAPER ON THE BACK WINDOW OF YOUR
VEHICLE-- NEW WAY TO DO CARJACKINGS (NOT A JOKE)'

Heads up everyone! Please, keep this circulating.....
You walk across the parking lot, unlock your car and get inside.
You start the engine and shift into Reverse.
When you look into the rearview mirror to back out of your parking space, you notice a piece of paper stuck to the middle of the rear window.
So, you shift into Park, unlock your doors, and jump out of your car to remove that paper (or whatever it is) that is obstructing your view.
When you reach the back of your car, that is when the carjackers appear out of nowhere, jump into your car and take off.
They practically mow you down as they speed off in your car.
And guess what, ladies? I bet your purse is still in the car.
So now the carjacker has your car, your home address, your money, and your keys.
Your home and your whole identity are now compromised!

BEWARE OF THIS NEW SCHEME THAT IS NOW BEING USED...

If you see a piece of paper stuck to your back  window, just drive away.
Remove the paper later. And be thankful that you read this e-mail.
I hope you will forward this to friends and family, especially to women.
A purse contains all kinds of personal information and identification documents, and you certainly do NOT want this to fall into the wrong hands.

my question is, if the remote is with you, and the car jacker drove the car away, will the car stop? haha, just thinking only la.
coz tested the remote put in the boot and close the boot it will not be able to close one, it will reopen by itself.

the engine will off in 30 secs.. that what has been told by SA. dunno never try.

according to SG forum, the boot won't re-open. got few case they need to get spare key to open the boot back.

2 months is their promise lor if you pay the RM 1K booking fees. That's what they told me as well, but if you pay the 10% down payment + the color you choose is not that popular, they can get it fast for you. According to the SA that, they are very cautious now due to a previous experience that people requested for the refund of the booking fees at very last minute when the car was already on the way shipped to Kuching. Make them rugi a lot. Thus, now they want to make sure that the buyer will not change their mind then they will speed up the shipment.

When you plan to make your booking? My SA is Danny.
