what's the combp vs standard ? does it charge Rm88 for upgrade ?

i`m trying to upgrade online

i got 2 selection which are :

streamyx 2.0 (free modem) -rm120 (streamyx combo) (wifi@home) Upgrade incentive

and

streamyx 4.0 (free modem) -rm150 (streamyx combo) (wifi@home) Upgrade incentive

is this under promotion ?
do i need to add phone rental fees ?
will i get a new modem ? if yes , they will send to me or self collect ?

Yes but u need to pay activation fee RM75 for standard packages.

how do I check whether my connection has been upgraded?

the speedtest.com is showing 0.8mb/s and my upgrade package is 1mb, am I upgraded?

I upgraded mine to 2Mb since last fri and now getting 1.75Mb..Jz wanna know if the speed ok?
I saw most ppl here get 2Mb and above so if I complain to TM or CFM complain portal, will I have the chance to get capped at 2.5Mb or 3Mb?

if you're not sure you can test your speed at TM Speedometer Site..this site also show your package's status whether you are on your old package or the new 'upgraded incentive' package

WT* ......186kbps download 424kbps upload......but i dont feelin it though......

upload is higher than download???something must be wrong with Tm speedometer
have u try Speedtest.net yet?
as far as i know that site is the best an most accurate reader of broadband speed test to date.

hey guys, i currently paying rm90 for upgrade deals 1mbps combo package. but the tm also sending me a mail asking me to pay the rental line bill...so strange...
anyone who experience this problem?

unless you subscribe to streamyx combo or the BlockBuster deal, you will still need to pay the phone line rental.

i am using Deal Streamyx Basic 512k (without modem) - RM66 , and paying phone rental of course

i using the https://mips.tm.net.my to check which package i can upgrade, it give me some options:-

i was thinking to get 1 of the following:-

1. 1mbps RM 71
2. 1mbps streamyx combo RM 95 (streamyx combo) (wifi@home)
3. 2mbps streamyx combo

which u all thinking better?

for option 2 no extra charges right? streamyx combo means i no need to pay phone rental anymore? but what is wifi@home? and call to fixed line is free?

for option 3 i think there is extra charges like RM 88 not so sure

Yes, with streamyx combo you do not need to pay any extra phone rental. Wifi@home means you will have WiFi modem provided so you can enjoy wireless connection at your home. Free calls to fix line will only be applicable if you subscribe BlockBuster package.

currently monthly tmnet RM99 + phone rental RM29 , total around RM130..quite costly..
i m just a normal user which use to surf net, plus youtube n pps sometimes.
which package i shoud get?
