Ok, let me share some of my thought after joining the gathering. I am still a newbie in audiophile so my description may not so well.

First of all, a big thanks you for Eiraku as he not only put effort in organise this gathering, he also use his own money to buy some free gift for those sponsor such as akg malaysia, david, akabane and so on... Besides that, when we just start our gathering, Eiraku found that we are lack of extension power cord, he went to buy one on the spot. Quite appreciate when i saw his effort in doing all this. Thanks again

Come to the cans, there are too many cans and too little time for us to try all of them. I will give some description for those cans i had tried

AKG K240: I like this cans the most among all cans, it sounds really natural and balanced, although it is not a fun can, but you can find a feel of peaceful when listen to it. Of course, it need to pair with a good amp in order to sounds so fantastic. This sounds really good and feel is also very good. Very comfort and not heavy at all. I am hoping so much can own this cans when i can get a good amp in future. It looks classic as well, some may feel that its design is not attractive at all compare to others cans, but i just like how it is looks like.

Senn HD580: We got two HD580 which is brought by ji_en and also kumanosuke, this cans if quite fun but an amp is a must in order to make it shine, even a simple amp like my ng27 also make a big different compare to direct out from dap. When it pairs with those good amp like audio compass will make it even shine better.Sound is quite good and laid back as usual. This is a cans that is quite enjoyable if you like the sounds signature. I myself found that it is a great cans

ATH W10VTG - This cans is great and can feel the sounds is very powerful but just the highs, mids, and low is under control so well and make the sounding very balance and great. I can feel the luxurious of the headphone when you hold in hand. I just can't stop myself from touch it for more times. Thanks bro akabane for bring over such a great cans.

ATH AD2000 : This is another great cans that bring by bro akabane. Just the design already attract my attention. I am a big fans of ATH AD series as it can be drive easily ampless and of course this ad2000 have this advantages also. When i connect it directly from my cheapo sony mp4, it sounds great. Too bad the mp4 cant support flac/ape, otherwise it will sounds even better. The Ad2000 is quite strong in its mids, it is quite fun for me to listen to it. Bass is there but just different from bass of beyerdynamic cans. It is not that deep and strong compare to beyer cans but the quality is there. After this try, i think i will aim those ad series as my target as i have no ability to buy those expensive amp.

Beyer DT 990 : This cans is belong to bro madman. This cans is great and comfort. I like its pads, looks and feel is great. The bass of this cans is a bit too strong to me, it just feel like a subwoofer around my ears. This cans is definitely for bass head. Its highs is also a bit bright to me. I still prefer ATH and AKG cans over beyer.

Beyer DT880 : This is bring by bro rioven. This cans is also very comfort like DT990. Just that its bass is not so strong compare to DT990, but also a bit strong for my taste. I can make sure that beyer is not the cans for me. I can make a clear decision in my audiophile journey.

AKG K420, K450 - This two cans is bring by our akg bro. I myself will prefer K420 over K450. K450 is too strong in bass until it cover the details and vocal. It is still a good cans but just not for my taste. On the other hand, K420, sounds more balanced, when i listen to the k420, it remind me of senn px100 sounding. It is quite comfort also. This two cans is very suitable for portability as it can be fold up nicely.

Koss KSC 75 & KSC75 (PC work recable) - I am so excited when i saw this two cans as i always want to listen to them. Thanks light matter who bring the ori ksc75 and kumanosuke who bring the recable version. This two cans also sounds quite bright and their transparency is really great. By doing the A-B comparing, i found that recable version will having a better bass (tighter, punch deeper) while ori version will be more towards those sub bass. Although both highs is quite bright but the recable one will be more tame than the ori version. This two cans is really great for their price.

Head-direct RE2 : This IEM is bring by Hoho, when i use it, i need to push it deep to get a good seal. When it is in good seal, actually it sounds quite nice. Bass is there but more in quality than quantity. There are lots of details in this IEM. It just remind me of the ksc75. This IEM is quite bright also but it is a good value as now it is on sales now. I found that this IEM can satisfy many normal user already especially for those looking for details and vocal.

Yuin Pk2 : This earbud is also bring by Hoho, when i saw it, it looks exactly the same as my pk3. Without the label, i may mixed them up by their outlooks. When listen to them, then can differentiate them well. Pk2 is more warm than my pk3, and its details and vocal is better also. Just the soundstage is not as wide as i aspect. I can't really give a accurate comment as the environment is not really suitable to try an earbud clearly.

Crossroads HR2 : This earbud is bring by lightmatter, when i doing the A-B comparison with my pk3, the first thing i found that it is warmer. The bass quality is slightly better than pk3 and i found that they are quite similar in details and vocal presentation. This HR2 is somewhere between pk3 and pk2.

Cyclone PR2 : This goodies is bring by Eiraku, i am able to listen to it when almost near the end of the gathering. The bass is really great. Powerful and accurate. Mids is not cold at all. Eiraku say that when it pair with amp then its mids will be warmer. This IEM is quite fun and musical. It looks very small and tiny compare to normal IEM.

So far, I still regret for missed up some IEMs , earbud and headphone such as PL-50, JBL, AKG earbuds. Also i cant try many great amps throughly such as silver amp, little ghost DIY amps, DBM amp and also the audio compass.

As a newbie in audiophile, after joining this gathering, i really can learn a lot through chit chat with all participant and audit all the cans that shared by all the participant. By listen to all the cans, i can get a better idea which brand of cans will suit me better. All the participant is humble and willing to share all their experience and thought, although it is just a short chat but i do learn something from them. I also found that, there are still a very long journey for me to discover in audiophile.

Thanks for all the participant who make this gathering so successful. notworthy.gif

Correct, but ATM tarak adjustments.

Plan to mod the output stage and tune down the bias for obvious safety reasons tongue.gif The stock circuit feels like a horse on steroids and rage pills.

sad.gif Did not try any IEMs because I forgot to bring my own tips.

those are only less than half of what we had originally expected.

The next time if we manage to find a decent private space, things will be VERY different.
