Is it a normal thing when my f42 test button flashes red (overheating) ? Just have to wait for a while and then continue using it right?

Added on December 7, 2009, 11:11 ami forgot who was asking about my Minolta F28 the other day, sorry for late reply.. i think it was soony if not mistaken.

my opinion is that, on a aps-c, its pretty versatile. only losing out when you feel like going wider. on FF, its pretty much spot on.

but when in confined spaces, this lens is more forgiving than the 50mm, where when my buddies need to step back a lot (and there's no space to step back) i can comfortably snap away (ie: stage front, bday in a small room aka karaoke room where u want the cake and the bday boy in the pic.. 50mm cant do that) - it really depends on what you shoot.

MFD is not that bad either with about less than 1ft distance.

F2.8 of coz is not as bright as 1.7 or 1.8 or 1.4 for that matter, but it sure is brighter than the 3.5 on the kit. of course, u dont expect bokehs to match the brighter lenses. but being cheaper than the 50mm by a small margin, i dont really complain much.

the 28 and 50 has been my kit lenses for a couple of months, they make a great pair.

ReasonsofThanatos: Do you mean AF assist? You can turn that off in the menu. However it will be hard to focus in low light otherwise.

hi all,
how big is a typical RAW file from the a300?
cause i tried that recently and the file came out to be about 10MB, as compared to 4-5MB average for Fine JPG
the RAW don't seem so big after all
