LYN SD BB Gundam Thread 1st Official GroupBuild

Rules & Regulations:

1. SD, BB and D-Style mecha only.
2. All kits MUST be painted. Hand paint, airbrush, or just marker. No paint = not qualified
3. Time frame is 2 months, starting on the 1st of November, and final date is 31 Dec. Then we can have gathering circa that time.
4. The GB is divided into 2 parts: competition or just joining. Only newbies can join the compy. How 'new' you are is self assessment
5. For the competition, GB member will judge and vote.
6. Upon completion, we will meet up somewhere (location TBD) to showoff our works. For those who can't make it, photos would suffice.

YEY! new thread! Yes I agree i mean they need to listen to us more about kit policy... like what they did to Sangokuden Gaiden >_<... Ling Tong and Zhou Tai are a waste... Would like to see more of the newer series in SAngokuden...


Chousa 4 Riders and Houten the-0 PLEASE we are asking since 2007... those surveys about fan feedback on what kit will be release next was a hoax... Houten-0 was number one in the poll and Mercrius & Vyetae was second!




Not mine... but I guy at Komica made em... since it looks like Bandai has no plans he made his own Chousa 4 riders... Too bad we already have Sun Quan hahaha....

So, please bring more of your SD gundam collection's picture to this thread.
And we will get more new SD gundam fans to this thread...

And one sad thing is we haven't really make any group build successful so far.
We have two previously.
First is the Zaku groupbuild (We have a lot of Zaku done, but we didnt put it together)
Second is Sangokuden groupbuild, we have a very good idea and concept (but end up a lot of ppl disappear, including me, never done with the small soldier. )

So, since we are in V6 now, should we call for another groupbuild again?
Is it appropriate?
If everyone's ok, we got to be serious this time. Let's get a topic, then we can further discuss the storyline, character and task to interested one.

did some minor painting use brush...compare modeling brush n artist brush (tat i get from bookstore), modeling brush offer better control becoz of the tip...correct me if i m wrong....me still noobie...haha

a bit headache here...how to fill up the lubang at the palm...according to manual, just applied the sticker across to cover the lubang....hmm....mb i will try to get plaster to fill it up then baru apply the sticker....

You can use some tamiya putty to fill up the hole.

Nice! what type of paint did you use on those mate? havent got the chance to build my RX-78GP03D, im excited to build it but I need to do more research on paints and weathering technique!

that one u need to ab with 3 different tone of pink an white.

aik...thought tat can use paint brush.....

normally they do friday, saturday n sunday

last time yes but now they change already due to the venue management mao 1 week booking instead of 3 days jor.

Actually the price during BAKUC dun really differ from bandai original retail price. Cheaper to get from shop outside such as Auntie Lenny or where ever.

As for thier warehouse sale, price can match outside. Some might even be cheaper. But the biggest catch is they usually throw out some event item eg. expo edition (clear or metallic parts) kits.

Ooohhh... Ok ok... I'll save up for the warehouse sales then!

^ from the pic it doesn't look like a bad job at all. infact i think it's well done! the plastic surface looks like been air brush or u did some trick on it? it's very nice.

All handpaint? I saw that Dom, the surface is so smooth, doesn't really look like handpaint. Or like kukubeh bro said, u do any trick to it?

Anyway, good job. Better than mine a lot.

no special trick on it, im fairly new on this. i just applied very thin layers of paints and i guess tamiya matte coat do wonders

its a nice job.. welldone man..

is it water base paint?

CHEV, yr SD gundam painting skills is better than mine
coz i rarely touch mine -.-

i use tamiya enamel. i prefer enamel since it dries longer therefore ensuring a good/uniform finish and very minimal brushmarks. i have tried tamiya water based paint but im having problem getting it to stick to plastic, i tried enamel and it stick easily.

this is the best i ever seen in sdx so far for now....

yup it is! It can also transform into 3 headed dragon form. But the gold glossy surface will easily get finger print. Btw the aura blade (with rainbow particles) is exclusive first batch release. this figure should reached all the toy shop le

Releasing next month only bro. Thinking of getting this kit then I retire from SD and maybe plamo and focus on other hobbies.

Ever since Gaiden came out, I lost interest already. Now wanted to tutup kedai with Sun Quan's Emperor, since I susah ada Liu Bei and Cao Cao's. And I must say... the most rip-off Emperor mode must be Cao Cao. Not much difference only.

If I dont see legendary weapon change form and see a Phoneix mecha/mystical anima to merge into armor...l then its not emperor Form... hehe


Greatly anticipating the Shu Gundam... the hands may not look good but... seeing it combines and have future use with virsago... i see alot of pose,display and play value... (SAVE ENOUGH MONEY SINCE THE RUMORS CAME OUT... patiently waiting )
