i have a jailbroken iPhone 3GS with blackra1n (OS 3.1.2, got the phone when it launched)

i have been using the phone for a while but just now, shit happens

i was trying to call a friend, but the phone froze and showing no signal (been happening few times before but normally it will recover itself) but after i wait for few minutes nothing changes!

after i tried to restart the phone... BOOM! froze on the apple logo screen forever!

even i plugged into my computer and try to restore it, itunes and blackra1n cant detect it!


any pros, please help

Guys, i have this issue here now,,,,

My old iPhone 2G was JB before with 3.1.2 and with all my old contacts/Pics etc.
I was handing my phone to my bro and plan to clear all the miscellaneous item inside.

So what i perform are "Reset"
1) Reset All Settings --> OK but infected with iKee "again"
2) Erase all content and settings --> Notok = Phone cant boot up alwiz at "pineapple" mode.

What should i do now...im trying to JB again see whether it helps...Im worry that i break my iPhone.....

Pls advise am i proceeding the correct method.

i think u can use 3.1.3 with iphone 2g, so, if i can suggest, u shud restore ur phone, n no need to restore the backup, u can choose to set-it-up as a new device..
n ur bro can hv the phone w/o ur stuff inside...

n to jailbreak, u cud probably use the 3.1.2 tutorial...
i cud be wrong..neva had a hands on exp on a 2g b4..

Q: I'm stuck at Boot Logo. How to solve?
A: For those of you who have who accidentally click or did a "Reset All Settings" or "Erase All Content and Settings" or stuck at boot logo for a long peroid of time, please refer to the steps below to restore your iPhone: *Please download the firmware to your desktop before you proceed.

1. Make sure the iPhone is not connected to the computer.
2. Close the iTunes application and re-open it again.
3. Plug the usb bit to the computer
4. Hold the "home" button of the iphone
5. Now plug the dock connector bit to your iphone (without letting go the home button)
6. Await for further instructions on the screen and then release the "home" button.
7. Hold shift and click restore for Windows users and select the firmware. Hold Alt/Option button and click Restore for Mac users and select the firmware.
*For 2G iPhone, after restoring your firmware, you need to jailbreak and unlock using Pwnagetool or Quickpwn to have a full function phone.
*For unlock 3G iPhone, you can jailbreak your iPhone if you choose to.

Is it safe to jailbreak with pwnage tool for iphone 3gs, firmware 3.1.3, baseband 05.12.01?

im new to iphone, bricked mine within hours of getting it. screwed up my pc as well in the process, brought it back to maxis for unbrick and they updated it to 3.1.3.

im now having sort of a phobia for jailbreaking

currently have a custom ips for it.. maybe u have a try.. probably can jb bcos u using the old modem firmware not latest wan ma

i update to 3.1.3 but i cannot JB why is it happening?

The thing is, if urs is a maxis set, thr is no need to worry abt baseband. Maxis sets r unlocked sets. So watever bb u r on, ur sim wud work. If u accidently updated to 313, it is ok. This baseband prob is for those using locked set, meaning it cud be a USA locked to AT&T or smthing similar. Now those ppl hv to rely heavily on custom firmwares as custom fw can preserve the older baseband n still able to upgrade the fw to fix bugs, add new features n so on.
N if u r tat worried abt this whole fw update, bb upgrade, can Jb or not, for god sake read up a little. U hv the option nt to update right. I'm always the last ones to update although I always download the new updated fw as soon it's out.

Sorry - you have updated to the latest Baseband with fw 3.1.3.
Now there's no solution for a Jailbreak....
You need to wait from Dev Team or Geohot... but I don't think they will work on any solution for 3.1.3...

What does latest baseband got to do with the ability to jailbreak? Last that I know, having latest baseband on a locked phone only prevent a sim unlock using software unlock i.e. Ultrasn0w etc. It does not stop jailbreak, right?

1st of all, Gong Xi Fa Chai to all Chinese forumers here

Just JB & unlocked my locked 3G set yesterday with FW 3.1.2 using blackra1n. So far only encountered 2 problems:-
1) Unable to use YouTube at all. 'Cannot connect to YouTube'
2) Unable to locate current location. 'Your location could not be determined'

Already download the FW from 2 diff PC & did it again, even after 3rd try oso the outcome the same, any solution guys?

Since i'm on Win, cannot upgrade to 3.1.3 yet izit?

If memory serves me right, blackra1n (dunno which RC) have problems with YouTube certs. Try using redsn0w and see if it works (redsn0w have on windows).

wat problem oh? can a.. go restore it and re-JB lo.. no problem at all

if u r able to access cydia on 312, try 2 make sure if u hv the shsh file on saurik's server..
if u hv tat, u wud be able to move up n down the fw ladder..
if dun hv then get if b4 u restore or else u'll be stuck at 313...

How about unlocking IMEI number from the network,

If we buy iphone 3g from maxis and do not pay bills following the contract, they gonna block the phone through IMEI ? and how to unlock this thing ?
