QUOTE(Qirin @ Nov 10 2009, 10:22 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I think we shouldn't blindly follow others. I love COD..my first ever High-end game was COD 4 and i love it. since then, i'm a fanĀ of COD. I played other FPS (BIA, Crysis..) but dunno why, COD is the only one that won't let me feel pressure and frustrated. I cheated in Crysis, and never finish BIA:HH... but COD...i finish it all...even on Veteran level...
I AM GOING TO BUY IT!!! PAID THE DEPOSIT ALREADY..... but i believe the reason MP will suck is because our country just have too many people play PIRATED GAMES~ I admit..most of the games i play are pirated... but this, I AM GOING FOR ORIGINAL but I believe as a player, we should honor whose company for the great game they created. IW was always good at it.
No matter what, the SP is already worth the money, plus if you got 2 computer, Co-op also will get your money back.
this is my opinion, as i know, this forum is full of forumerĀ who shouting MP sucks before even try it out...( no offense)
I have my doubts, but i will save it after i played the game.
I will try to post my review on it tomorrow, as i getting the copy of the game tomorrow.
Peace~ Added on November 10, 2009, 10:24 pm» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « just want to ask, do the match maker let you choose malaysian player, or it just randomly let you play with other regions one? RM200 for a 5 to 7 hours single player game to me is not worth it on the other hand, RM219 for Dragon Age: Origins single player that can last you up to 100+ hours is worth it. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed playing the singleplayer part of CoD4. But what is even better was the the endless hours you spend on multiplayer. ::EDIT:: You dont even need to spend RM219 for Dragon Age: Origins you can just get it for as low as RM129. I would have bought MW2 if not for the matchmaking. I absolutely despise matchmaking. Sure, it's fine if you live in the US/EU but if you live in Malaysia, I hope you enjoy being matchmaked to 300 ping servers 90% of the time.
I hated it when I played online on my 360, I hated it when I had to matchmake in L4D, and I still hate it now.

By the look of it the only way to play smoothly is to add all the local players into friend list and start a private game?

More or less. It's a really, really roundabout way of looking for a dedicated server as a hangout spot that you -know- you can connect to with at least the same-ish ping, and people you like to play with.
Except that iw.net could arbitrarily select some torrenting idiot to be the host and you're SOL for that map.

Please correct me if I'm wrong; even though we manage to gather lots of people here, I doubt our Internet connection is fast enough to handle 11 to 23 clients playing in any private games. QUOTE(Falk @ Nov 11 2009, 12:21 AM) PROBLEM SOLVED BRO INFINITY WARD LIMITED GAMES TO 6v6 AHAHAH yea, 6v6 6 players + 6 players - 1 host = 11 players 12v12 12 + 12 - 1 = 23 So, 1mbps "broadband" fast enough to handle that many players going through a host computer?

So this is what IW planned all along.. kill core players and give casual player what they want:
- matchmaking for people who thinks colorful server name is eye-tearing - death streak to get out of bullies' torturing - 6v6 for less/no "spawn kill" - no lean for "peeping kill" which scare some people shit out? - no console for personal advantage like graphic tweaking & bindings
All of their ideas look like targetting casual gamers to me IMO.

QUOTE(khelben @ Nov 11 2009, 12:53 AM) Since no dedicated servers means no multiplayer for me, should I spend RM200+ for 5-7 hours of entertainment? Not worth it imo, that sum of money is better spent on buying ice-cream for Mary Poppins.
