Did he get the headline for almost a week and every single soul calling for his head like Ngog did?

Yes. Eduardo's case was actually being headlined more than ngog's case. Plus, it has involved UEFA which could have ended with bans if it was not appealed.

Just to do comparison

http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Liver...icle221669.html

and

http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/opinion/co...icle220505.html

Btw, Liverpool could have save 5mils to bring in Pav and do loan for Eljero instead.

It's not punishment problem. It's how the media bash Ngog like he is the only one diving in the league. He made the headlines for few days while Eduardo ,Drogba and Ronaldo never get such treatment.
*
Everyone calls Drogba, Ronaldo a diver all and then, never get a such treatment? Even if you go youtube, facebook..you see them being called a diver. Their videos are everywhere tongue.gif

There you made my point valid. It's because UEFA involved that Eduardo "gets more headlines"( I still dont think he get more than N'gog although u claimed so)

With Ngog, no one stepped in to land band or so why bother talking about Ngog for so long and heck everyone is bashing him like he had dive for 100 times while Eduardo, on the other hand, get the backing from other parties

Craig Gordon back him
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...yer-did-it.html

Wenger back him

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/...he-penalty.html

and More people back him.Simply google out and you can find them all.

When Rooney dive, did he make headlines for almost a week? He won a penalty and called himself "an honest player" and all the dumbasses accepted that as fact.

When Drogba dive, did he make headlines as much as Ngog did? Heck no, he said the defenders hurted him and he din dive. Did the Media harp on it and continue making stories about him? NO!

I know it's already been discussed but I couldn't find an opportunity to post until now. I think the overreaction to N'Gog's dive is a farce! Heaps of players dive but when N'Gog did, he made the sports headlines on all local dailies. I never saw Ronaldo get this much press! What about Drogba??? Suddenly there's a call for a review on diving??? It's victimisation, nothing more.
*
Correct, its discrimmination and scapegoating. Eduardo and Ngog did not dived for penalties.
Eduardo was clipped by a Scot and Ngog nearly scythed by an Irish.
Both of them were were castigated, disgraced and humiliated by the jingoistic and ethnocentric British media.
'Coincidentally' before international matches (England-Croatia, Ireland-France).

The video below, thanks to solstice818 links and confirms my belief, shows that Lee Carsley, a midfielder, was attempting a scissors tackle. He was trying to scythe Ngog down. Carsley leading right foot was attempting to catch his right leg/knee and his studs were still up (more than half a foot) after Ngog had leapt very high to evade a nasty injury.

As I posted before Lee Carsley had been red carded before and I repeat here pics of Carsley's Carnage or MO.

Lost here is that the referees (who made the right calls) were maligned. A good referee is not only there to protect the players but had playing experience and football nous which Peter Walton or Manuel Gonzalez has.

Are conmen conning the international EPL fans? Are we being conned ?

the thing is...with such a full-on tackle...there is no where can ngog keep balance after leaping away from the challenge...coz if u watch the vid carefully his touch was ok and the ball was still well within his control range...

diving is always bad but even if he didnt dive i think h wouldve lost his footing, land on carsleys leg / foot, fell over and get a penalty anyway....

He should have stepped on Carlsley and earned an early bath. That's what the media want. whistling.gif

The nex day, you will see headlines like "Dirty N'Gog broke Carsley 's *insert a part here* " , " Dumb N'Gog get red" etc. tongue.gif

i still remember Drogba complained when everytime before the game started, referee will say this line to Drogba, 'Dont dive eh lad'.

To me, Ngog dive in order to save his leg. if he didn't leap over carsley challenge, hell, he'll end up injured.

Last time Ronaldo didn't dive when he first joined MU but after few injury-potential tackle and Referee failed to protect him, he resorted to dive.

excuse me solstice, but i disagree. eduardo got MUCH more flak than n'gog did. eduardo got the media calling him a diver for more than 2 weeks. i remember because he was still called a diver for the consequent UCL and BPL games whereas n'gog's story has cooled down already.

2 weeks straight get insults? He gets the backing from certain players, certain managers and that alone dragged few days. They called him diver? You know what they call Ngog? They call him King Of Cheat, Con King, Disgraceful ngog while Ronaldo and co who had been diving like hundred times never get such terrible insults...

People said Eduardo dive to "AVOID injury" but did he? And when Ngog do exactly the same, people said he is giving excuse. See the difference?

And like I said before because UEFA involved that Eduardo gets more headline because they came out with something new to punish diver. Putting UEFA aside that cause more headlines for Eduardo, you can see Ngog getting the stick more than anyone else.

I have to disagree with you. I think it's pretty obvious that eduardo got more than ngog. Probably because eduardo has more star power than ngog, but no matter the reason, i think "dudu" faced more than ngog by several folds. Eduardo's episode went on for weeks and was even brought onto the pitch. Okay, perhaps i haven't seen Ngog on the pitch after that but comparing media to media, definitely eduardo. Every headline was about him.

The only appropriate comparison is the treatment towards Eduardo and Ngog vs the treatment to CR7 and the certain few England international players .

You dont get me.My point is, Eduardo gets both positve and negative headline.A certain section of pundits and journalists even gave Eduardo the benefits of doubts, claiming he might be diving to avoid injury.Someone from somewhere backs him while Ngog only get negative news one after another.Everyone around the world throw insults at N'Gog and is calling for his head every now and then.

And again, without the UEFA stepping in, you reckon Eduardo news can be dragged into 2 weeks?Let's just be fair because when UEFA stepped in, the issue become an attention of everybody and thus more headlines but without the UEFA's interference, it Probably stopped in 2-3 days. Ngog , on the other hand, without the interference of any party, gets 1 week bashing from media and it's still counting.

The " I never cheat" Rooney dive and how long did he make the headline? Compare and you know how bias media nowadays are.

Anyway, I rest my case.No point arguing further. My point is, the media is bias and they overdid it.Simple as that.

i, for one, prefer Charlton Cole. Seriously, that lad is big and strong and with most epl team that park their buses and taxis in front of the goal, we can play the long direct ball to him where he can hold up the play for torres to bomb forward.
