QUOTE(sHsIkuA @ Nov 13 2009, 07:26 PM) I don't see how Rooney will ever leave United. Not now, not any time soon. He might when SAF retires but that's only a slight chance, at least if compare to other non-English United players Those players that I don't see will ever leave (I hope they don't proof me wrong ![]() |

Vidic happy at United
QUOTE Nemanja Vidic has rejected rumours linking him with a move away from Manchester United. The Serbian's long-term future has been the subject of speculation in recent months, with the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and AC Milan all credited with an interest in his services. However, Vidic insists he is happy at Old Trafford and is focused on winning more silverware with United. "I am happy at Manchester United and I am looking forward to winning more trophies and I don't think about leaving," Vidic told Sky Sports News. Vidic is confident United can enjoy success this season, despite falling five points behind leaders Chelsea in the Premier League following last weekend's defeat at Stamford Bridge. "Our mentality does not change after a few games, we know what we need to do this year," added Vidic. "Definitely it will be hard, but I think we have a good squad, a big squad to do well this season." Missing Meanwhile, Vidic is confident they can cope without Sir Alex Ferguson during his touchline ban. Ferguson was handed a two-match suspension for his disparaging comments about referee Alan Wiley's fitness after United's draw with Sunderland in October. The United chief will be forced to sit in the stands for the games at home to Everton on 21st November and away at Portsmouth on 28th November, and Vidic admits the manager's input will be missed. "It is always good of course to have the manager on the touchline because he needs to give advice to players, to change the team if he needs to and always that way we need him," added Vidic. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_5693363,00.html Youngster impresses United QUOTE Manchester United have asked Norwegian youngster Sondre Tronstad back for a second trial after he impressed recently. The 14-year-old is thought to have performed well in front of Red Devils coaches and was asked back in February or March. Tronstad admitted he was delighted to be spotted by United scouts despite the fact that he supports bitter rivals Liverpool. Two other Norwegian youngsters Mads Daehli and Herman Stengel also went down for trials. "They have said that it went well and that I should come back in February or March," Tronstad told fvn.no. "It's a bit special to visit Manchester United since I am a Liverpool supporter. But I felt it was a good chance." http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_5692975,00.html This post has been edited by alien2003: Nov 14 2009, 09:17 AM |

Got live?? Added on November 14, 2009, 10:01 am QUOTE(davidlow7 @ Nov 14 2009, 10:44 AM) Perhaps not the Ronaldo type but the different type who could be as effective as Ronaldo was n who knows - better?????? Obertan has some great footwork skills, but maybe because he is new, he is not capable yet to archieve Ronaldo because Ronaldo got an extra advantage of finishers. Lets just hope he is not like nani who performed so well at pre season(did he? This post has been edited by IcyDarling: Nov 14 2009, 10:01 AM |

Capello: Rooney Will Captain England Against Brazil
QUOTE Man Utd forward will lead England out on Saturday in Doha. Fabio Capello has confirmed that Wayne Rooney will captain England against Brazil in Qatar on Saturday, due to the injuries picked up by regular skipper John Terry and his deputy Rio Ferdinand. The former AC Milan coach told journalists at a press conference in Doha: "It will be Rooney. "I think Rooney is ready to be a captain. Why not?" The Manchester United forward has come under scrutiny recently when he was perceived to question the integrity of the referee when his side lost to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. He mimed "12th man" to the cameras after the 1-0 defeat, and was warned by the FA over his conduct. Capello, though, is believed to have seen a new maturity in Rooney's game. When Capello was introduced as England manager he alluded to the potential of Rooney as captain, provided he gain "experience" and "maturity". He said: "Wayne Rooney is young but I believe in the future he could be captain of England one day." Alan Dawson, Goal.com UK http://goal.com/en-us/news/85/england/2009...-against-brazil Rumours: Report: Manchester United & Arsenal Ponder Move For Barcelona’s Yaya Toure QUOTE The Blaugrana star is not happy at Camp Nou and a move to England could be on the cards. http://goal.com/en-us/news/1771/yahoo/2009...arcelonas-yaya-Manchester United and Arsenal are two of the clubs who have made their interest in Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure known. The Premier League teams are keeping tabs on the Ivory Coast international and could make a move for his services at the end of the current campaign. Toure's agent, Dmitri Seluk, has questioned Barcelona's reasons for agreeing a new deal with his client last summer only to use him sparingly this season. Manchester City's interest in the player sparked the outburst, in which Seluk stated that at least eight major clubs are interested in the former Monaco man. Now the Red Devils and the Gunners have been linked with the player and both would be able to offer him regular football, according to The Daily Mail. United's interest could increase if it appears that Owen Hargreaves will struggle to play at the highest level after his long-term lay-off, while Arsenal will view Toure's experience as crucial in such a young team. After penning a deal in the summer, Toure has played only a handful of games for the European champions this term as Seydou Keita has risen to prominence at Camp Nou. QUOTE Manchester City Striker Carlos Tevez Considering Retirement - Report The former Red Devil has apparently made a shocking announcement... Manchester City and Argentina striker Carlos Tevez has said he is considering retirement because of fatigue. Tevez, 25, said that despite his young age he may quit the game to spend more time with his family. According to the Press Association, he is quoted as saying: "It's complicated, there's my family, the desire to return to Boca Juniors, but I think about it. It crosses my mind to hang up my boots if we win the World Cup, although I have a contract (with City) until 2014. "I'm a bit tired of so much football. I want to enjoy my family a bit. I'm very keen to stop and get a bit of calm. I've already won a lot. Living for football has saturated me." Tevez has struggled to gain a place in Diego Maradona's Argentina squad, which may have a bearing on his decision. "My chance passed. I had my possibility and I couldn't take advantage of it. When the team needed goals I couldn't provide them," he said. "So it's logical that other lads should be in front of me." Tevez has also hit back at critics of Argentina after it was suggested that members of the squad do not give 100 per cent at international level. He said: "We were criticised a lot, sometimes rightly so, but to have people say we didn't play well because of the money or we don't love the (Argentina) shirt, don't sing the national anthem, there's a lot of ill will." http://goal.com/en/news/9/england/2009/11/...ring-retirement |
