QUOTE(etigge @ May 21 2010, 03:39 PM) Read my blog, woah thanks bro! u seems to know alot of local there it seems. u also kaki fishing? btw do you know how much is the price to go out fishing? just a rough estimate lets say for a boat that can fit 5 of my friendshttp://blog.thestar.com.my/permalink.asp?id=29867 For fishing at the Kuala Triang tuas, look for Pak Hassan. Go to Kuala Triang or Sheraton Beach Resort bell counter and enquire. Option 2. Go to Alu-Alu fishing and talk to Pak Deris. Nice man and ask him about Pak Lah. Pak Lah is a trolling specialist around Pulau Paku and Pulau Timun. The shop is also located in Kuah. Kuah is not that big, just explore. Option 3. Go to Tanjung Rhu near the beach activities shack. Ask for Rosli Hitam. He is also an avid angler and he also has a few boats. This post has been edited by barney: May 24 2010, 05:18 PM |

etigge....u knows some good spot for deep bottom sea fishing? like an area/spot which the chances of getting a decent size garupa 1kg+- and etc. do i need to instruct the boat man to go far far way from the langkawi island to get some decent catch like 20km? or with in 10km from the langkawi island will get some good catch? im thinking to try my luck to get garupa, pari and may be parrot fish

etigge...thats some nice catch! when was the picture taken? lets say 1-2km out from any of the small island down south of langkawi like pulau singa, pulau balar...could we get some decent garupa 1kg+-? im not aiming for those 8kg++ garupa but just 1kg+- and if get 2kg i'll be laughing until my teeth fall off already!
so is 1 - 2km away from any of the small island bottom fishing any good? what bait do we use to get garupa's attention better? live squid?, prawn, or kembong fish? another thing is trolling...i will be doing trolling too...2km away from langkawi islang can get baracuda bits or must go further away for more chances? i'll be driving up to langkawi next week by car. I target to stop twice throughout my journey for breakfast and lunch and reach kuala kedah jetty by 12pm +-. What time do u think we should move out from kl? say 5am start move?
I can just rent a car straight out when i reach the langkawi ferry jetty right? I didn't book any car rental but plan to rent when we arrive there. You think we can get a car rental there on the spot? BTW, hows for those who just went to langkawi recently...hows the weather like there? I'll be going there for deep sea fishing so hopefully it's not raining whole day! and hopefully the highway is not flooded tooup north |
