hey would like to know the transaction in langkawi is all cash or credit card is usable? In terms of:-
1) car rental
2) sign up packages for mountain hiking
3) island hopping
4) caving

Just wanna know do they accept credit card?

Those wth credit card for sure will not be cheap. Well they are but very limited numbers & those car rental/agents wth CC facilities are those big companies such as Hertz, kasina & Avis. Well not cheap hor. expecting double to tyriple the normal rate & for tour agents, expecting double.

Hi all, I've been watching the first few page of this thread and I'm thinking of taking me and my girl go around 19/4 to end of April, I'm thinking of going shopping center and good beach(not going down there, she have bad skin sad.gif) I'm thinking of the Bayview Hotel, but I saw those info about good food at Kuah? thinking of either 3D2N or 4D3N, and on a normal budget, which means no Datai lol.
Thanks in advance.smile.gif

If you deal through hotel, everything can be paid by credit card. More expensive though. Island hopping is strictly cash if you are dealing direct at jetty.

I just saw the papers yesterday that H1N1 hit Langkawi and 3 schools are closed down because of it, guess it's not the best time to go there?

Maybe , but depends on luck ..if you have already booked the trip just take the necessary precaution, avoid those places and most important maintain good hygiene ....Malacca (merlimau/jasin) also reported cases ...looks like its on the rise again ..just be tactful and enjoy the trip if you have planned ...

hi,

am visiting langkawi during the wesak day weekend in May 2010. it's a budget trip for 10 pax.

browsed for good motels and found AB motel, Grand Beach, Tanjung Melati and Amzar Motel. All fully booked except for Amzar MotelHas anyone been there before? how is the place? priced at RM 95 per nite - AC+fridge.

Is is okay or can you guys recommend other motel/apartment in Pantai Cenang?

thank you in adv.

Don't worry. H1N1 is not a big deal for teenagers who are 19and above.

AA Penang to Langkawi round trip RM18 included tax. Freaking cheap.

Different a bit. Usually Kuah jetty price are better. Airplane = rich people, ferry = poor people, no? tongue.gif
