Hello fellow collectors !
Just want to share with you all that i am very excited to received Nintendo NES (Asian Version) I received PM from a person here selling his uncle NES, requested a photos and to my amazement, his NES is the Asian Version. I do not think it's a rare item but for me the condition is quite ok (and better than Master System that i found in Mudah). Everything is emblem with 'made in japan, from controller, to adapter to rf cable embossed with nintendo of japan.. With little cleaning and polishing, i'll have it on my display in my gaming cave soon. And also, need to find some good NES carts for display as well, not to play since i got most of it on Wii's VC wad. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « NES Pal Asian http://www.nesworld.com/nes.php This post has been edited by ameenskywalker: Apr 15 2011, 03:36 PM |

QUOTE(ameenskywalker @ Apr 15 2011, 03:35 PM) Hello fellow collectors ! If i am not mistaken all Asia territory outside of Japan (Europe as well) was sold NES varaint, as I have a few carts (NES form factor) but the sticker label states Asia Version which comes with a Chinese/ English manual sheet (HK version I think). Might be they were the regional importers at that time ? but then most of us grow up with Micro Genius |

Hey now it makes perfect sense. For those who might remember, Pineapple used to be big in 1988. There was a big Pineapple store in Subang Parade, and the 1st thing you notice when entering the store is the NES games area. They were definitely NES, not Famicom or Micro Genius. At that time I didn't think much of it, because that was my 1st ever glimpse of a NES. Only much later did I come across a Micro Genius, how weird. So I guess they were distributors for the Asian NES or something.

But looking at the manual, it said for Customer Service & Warranty, the office NES Service center is either in High Street Center, Singapore or Air Raya Jakarta. They might be this region distributor. |

Very light one, don't worry. For wax I use timber floor cleaner because the wax there very thin and lasting. It looks as good as new now except for those scratches that was there all along
