QUOTE(darkskies @ Apr 5 2010, 08:29 PM) SE is famous for being lazy in producing updates. It took them ages to produce an update most of the time. To them it's like once sold it's your own problem. My aino been seating around with no updates since the last two they make which is kind of minor changes only. They boasted before 2009 that they gonna fully utilized aino's function but till now it's april and no news.Been kind of long since x10's release and till now still droid 1.6. I'm already prepared for the worst to drop this phone before putting myself on SE's bait. Gonna say byebye to sony ericsson since they are kind of irresponsible to update their phones and only fond of flooding the market with more new phones. Worst of all there's no price control towards their phone. It could be selling like almost 3k but after 2-3mths later, the price could juz plunge to 1.5-1.6k in a short time. If X10 drops to below 1.5~1.6K in 2~3 months... I'll definitely buy it ...........love the X10 design, but after the X10 hardware fiasco (single touch screen, screen sensitivity, photo light etc) now still considering HTC Desire I've a strong feeling that X10 was NEVER meant to run Android 2.x ... only after pressure by many ppl, SE promise to release update for Android 2.x Yea, still waiting for the Aino firmware update.. any way to know when a new firmware is released?? Where will it be announced?

Really can't tahan the high "power consumption" of X10. standby also can use up to 3% in 2 hours... even the 3g is off, wifi is off, and gps is off... -.-

Nowadays high batt consumption is kind of common. The more advance phone companies tries to progress towards replacing mini laptop the more faster it drain the batt. Take an example for lappie. It could access most of the features but the most it could last is 3hrs and you'll need to recharge the batt. Probably the only solution is to get alternatives to charge our phone. From what i last heard, it seems using wifi signal to charge had been made possible with some appliance and probably might be an app in future downloadable into phones.
And from what i notice. X10 was actually another rushed project. SE didnt expect their rivals to come so close towards their technology or probably even more advance then them. They are still enjoying their sweet time believing that their high spec phone could be none other then theirs. Unfortunately nokia, htc, samsung,lg and even motorola had actually thrown them behind with their new high spec phones too.
Se is currently making more and more uncompetitive phones trailing other's arse behind. Worst of all no updates for long donkey years. I really hope that this two company went separate ways. It's already starts to churn out expensive but yet garbage phones.

Hmm... I've desired SE's Xperia X1 right when it was aunched back then. But it was running on Windows Mobile which is a major let down. Then comes the X2 and my expectation remains high right till it hangs the moment I tested the WiFi (the first thing I done upon receiving the test unit). I've been anticipated X10 ever since and finally got my hand on it and once again, this is not another Xperia I'm going to desire. Battery consumption is very high. Camera quality is only decent and it only comes with a mini light instead of a proper flash. Not to mention the speakers is so low in volume. My P1i has a better speakers IMO.

1. Is the Market app available in X10? 2. Is the available internal storage really 1GB?
Thanks

Thanks There is a market app preinstalled on X10, well at least on my unit (T-Mobile UK subsidized). The total internal storage is indeed 1 GB, but the available storage space is definitely less than 1 GB, mainly due to the installed apps and system files on X10 itself. Hence the available storage space depends on the device configuration. It does come with a 8 GB microSD card though. This post has been edited by jasonlimjc: Apr 6 2010, 09:23 PM

I agree with you guys on the X10. I have very mixed feelings towards it. It doesn't suck, but it feels seriously buggy and underperforming. nowhere near its full potential.
