Well has anyone had issues with linking their phone contacts with Facebook? I was able to link my contacts to Facebook, but X10 wasn't saving their Facebook profile pictures to the phone contacts. So now I'm still seeing the blue dummy pictures for each of my linked phone contacts. Any pointers?

Can anyone teach me how to save my mms pics into the phone??also can we forward also our sms??

Juz a few quiery for this x10. It doesnt support flash . But it is mention that it can play facebk game. And for language , does it support japanese? I notice alot se phone doesnt support except native jp se phone.

yes it does hav a japanese input support.. but phone language dont think so.. i guess coz SE are marketed for non japan countries.. and in japan they hav their own version of SE

after a week of using this phone i noticed theres a couple of weakness

1. the camera is disappointing.. no xenon is acceptable but it doesnt even hav flash shooting.. only camera light and there is no shortcut on the interface to quickly turn in on.. had to go into settings.. there is also no auto focus light.. generally its horrible for night shooting

2. the screen sensitivity is pretty poor.. without multi touch is acceptable.. but the sensitivity is way too poor compared to iphone.. sometimes hav to tap few times to register.. even my n97mini with resistive screen respond way better

3. making calls r quite a hassle.. via phone book.. had to tap hold to bring up the menu.. then tap call.. wish they hav a dedicated call button ..and it doest allow me to select which number to call when i hav multiple number under a contact.. if there is any shortcut i m not aware off kindly advice

4. conversation volume is probably the lowest among the SE model i have owned.. SE has always been the best in term of conversation quality.. i m kinda surprised they fail in their flagship phone.. during slightly noisy environment i had hard time listerning..

5. ringing volume is way too low.. i missed most of the calls.. and the alarm cant wake me up =.=

hopefully they can improvise further on any upcoming firmware update

other than that.. i m pretty happy with the phone.. its probably the top favorite phone so far

Ya i know majority phone does support jp language.
But not jp input.
But it's running android so i'm kinda curious if there's any support since android is kinda different from uiq or symbian.

japanese input is confirmed... however phone language dont think so
if not mistaken can download all sort of keyboard interface that support various input method and language.. that japanese input is actually an application.. something like the keyboard skin

as for facebook i cant confirm... tested on their default browser.. they automatically forward me to touch.facebook.com and the page always fail to load.. where else opera wont even load flash items .. that includes the button shortcuts to the games

Thx for the info.. Guess i'll have to look under iphone... seems it's currently the only phone that is able to support jp phone language.
Most of the other phone requires firmware flashes which is too troublesome and getting those firmware is still clueless..

1. Hold down the shutter button for a few seconds to quickly turn on the camera. almost all SE phones are like that. as for the lack of AF light.. tell me which camera phone has that? I personally think it's enough to replace my point-and-shoot. Every onboard flash sucks anyway, better off without. For other purposes there's always the SLR.

2. I agree with you. I can live without multitouch, but an insensitive onscreen keyboard is a no-no. The iPhone's keyboard is so much better, I can make far less errors on it and it's snappy and responsive. Sometimes I feel like I'm on a resistive screen where I have to press to get some input recognised.

This phone needs a software update to make it a really viable option over the iPhone.

SE is famous for being lazy in producing updates. It took them ages to produce an update most of the time. To them it's like once sold it's your own problem. My aino been seating around with no updates since the last two they make which is kind of minor changes only. They boasted before 2009 that they gonna fully utilized aino's function but till now it's april and no news.Been kind of long since x10's release and till now still droid 1.6. I'm already prepared for the worst to drop this phone before putting myself on SE's bait. Gonna say byebye to sony ericsson since they are kind of irresponsible to update their phones and only fond of flooding the market with more new phones. Worst of all there's no price control towards their phone. It could be selling like almost 3k but after 2-3mths later, the price could juz plunge to 1.5-1.6k in a short time.

Total agree with u on that. SE is damn slow but maybe they know still got ppl will buy their hp because the brand not the hp itself.

my c905 does perfect job i in dark environment shooting.. it has AF light and the night time pictures produced hardly has any noise.. it was the best camera phone i ever used .. Af light is not that important but they could at least put a short cut for easier access to turning on and off the lights

xperia x10 is not a cybershot model.. so what u expect?

at least for me, x10 has one of the best camera among android / winmo / iPhone devices..

Well just to keep you guys updated I've just recently received a reply regarding this issue. It seems that X10 only displays Facebook profile pictures in Timescape, but it won't tie the Facebook profile pictures to the existing phone contacts, allegedly due to copyright issues (see original reply here). Pictures for the phone contacts can be either synced from Google contacts or obtained from tagged photos captured by X10.

Hope this would clear things up
