I did flash/root my 1.6 ap set myself :-) it was quite scarry at 1st but then every thing turn out to be ok afterwards. Im running 2.1 right now, using autostart killer and autokiller memory.  Trying to do jit, still stuck at the shell root stage. All the best bro

connect your phone using seus, then even it said u hav the latest firmware, clcik on install, it will re-install the existing firmware, i guess there;s some files corrupt that cause the phone to keep on restarting.

fallen, thanks for your suggestion. i was doing some research and i was able to flash it myself. nw im using 2.1_2.0.A.0.504_NORDIC_x10i

By removing:

- TimescapeLargeUI.apk
- TimescapeLargeUIThemeBlue.apk
- TimescapeLargeUIThemeGreen.apk
- TimescapeLargeUIThemeIndigo.apk
- TimescapeLargeUIThemeOrange.apk
- TimescapeLargeUIThemeSakura.apk
- TimescapePluginManager.apk
- TimeScapeProvider.apk

...in the system/app directory with root explorer(mount r/w) or other root file managing software. Just deleting these apps alone allow you to GREATLY increase the snappieness(get it...snapdragon) of the X10. Personally I find that it is a useless App that bogs down the phone more then it's worth. Once you have uninstalled it then restart the phone.  Ensure that before you remove Timescape that you don't remove any other files at the same time before restarting as this will eliminate the possibility of the timescape removal creating an error.

Hi, I need some help in understanding some tweaks to increase X10 performance.I've read previous post.I've just updated to the 2.1 stock and would like to know about these:-

1)In order to get JiT v2 installed,I need to root?Use z4root also can?
2)Will I lose some stock applications with the custom firmware available for root such as Alarm Clock being replaced with other similar app?
3)What other tweaks other than JiT and memory optimizer?
4)In case of sending the phone for warranty purposes with SE,can I remove the root and others without computer and internet?
5)Could u guys please send me the links for all the guide.

i had tried to minimize the ram usage while keeping the battery last longer
now my ram din go less 162.. ( i wanna know if tis good or bad  )
i also wanna remove timescape. but lets do thing one at a time

i also had remove timescape.. and its faster comparing then b4.
u guys should try install boot control. got hot reboot, recovery and etc.. and the hot reboot damn fast
