anyone want to let go 818 avr?

i am looking for below 1k avr with fm tuner!

as i looking for the AVR, i asked few kedai in BM and kulim.
VSX 819 1 store quoted RM1.6K and VSX919 RM2200.

izit worth to spend rm600 more for 919.

one seller from other store pushing for yamaha rx-v465 which  he said the pioneer HDMI didnt carry sound it only picture for sound u need to have optical or coax. izit true?

i kind of new to HT arena

i managed to get a 1019 from seong y'day..rm2.3k top notch deal i think cos desa ht in kepong say best deal is rm2.75k

if calculate other spending to get the item 2.5K seem reasonable price. i mean tol + gas travel from png to KL

Guys, any comment on HTZ-787DVD?
I'm looking at this models at HN and will make my decisions within this weekend.
Can sifus here recommend me or adv. if this model is good?
My budget is less than RM3k.

its a HTIB... good enough for normal use unless you want HD audio and more versatility.
I believe it's priced at RM1.6k or RM1.7k?

For 3K+, you can get an entry level Pioneer AVR Set (think its the 519 or 819 with 5.1 speaker setup) at SenQ... the sound seems better than the 787DVD for sure and you get HDMI input/output as well, etc.

I say go for this set because it's worth while. Sound not as fantastic as the higher range but it's ok la...

well..I already putting my money on 787DVD last week at HN @ RM1799.
Delivery will be this afternoon after 3pm.
I choose this unit because it's slimmer than the 519 and 819 although I know I must be nuts comparing sizes since sound need more solid and bigger frames.
I'm not a very tecnical guy as I just need a reasonable good system and this set quite impress me during my hearing at HN Sunway thus straight I book this set.

Hope it's a good choice

my other question any forumer connected to astro b.yond. any drop to PQ and do 5.1 surround works?

price bit high but worth....i bet u tak menyesal punya...
if you buy pioneer AVR with THX certified i'll tell u how to calibrate your
machine using THX setting..........

bro 3 years ago i own yamaha RX-V2300 and i almost upgrade to yamaha RX-V2800(if i'm not wrong),
and then when i want to pay salesman(my good friend) offer me to test the pioneer VSX-ax2as (THX select 2), he said just test it..
after he play movie ,i look at the salesman face and  he  , the gap is too different compare with yamaha event though EQ setting still
flat (without calibration), after that day i    with pioneer....i bought that Vsx-ax2as and now i upgrade to LX-82..

I think you can try this for NON THX certified set
- all speaker must set to SMALL
- Crossover frequency set all ch to 80Hz include subwoofer
- connect all your speakers  5.1ch or 7.1ch(batter)
- START your auto calibration
- EQ setting for pioneer  leave it to MCACC, for YPAO  and Audyssey
  batter u adjust manually

only above step i can  help you, the rest only THX certified capable to do it...

i don't no it will work or not i never try ...good luck
