QUOTE(plunderer1 @ Mar 27 2011, 10:25 AM) hi, if compare Altec Lansing MX6021 2.1 Expressionist ULTRA Speaker with S530D ??? how is the result ??? MX6021 gets the fun factor but it only lasts for a tiny moment...S530D doesn't have the fun sound but with this you'll wanna use it like forever... cuz in general fun speakers are fun not serious enough... btw MX6021 is not worth the price non stereotype... fully out from my opinion... you can consider Aego M or Harman Kardon Soundsticks III also |

QUOTE(plunderer1 @ Mar 27 2011, 10:25 AM) hi, if compare Altec Lansing MX6021 2.1 Expressionist ULTRA Speaker with S530D ??? how is the result ??? it sounds pretty good, and has decent bass. but not so punchy like Z2300 since it only has 6.5" driver. but the problem i find is that it's a bit too detailed for me, my ears doesn't like it when listening for too long. but well that's only my opinion. also the design sucks.if you like bass, can consider this one or Logitech Z2300/Z623. if you like crispy treble, you'll like AEGO M or h/k soundsticks II/III. if you like balanced sound, get Edifier S730. |

@nismo91
what do you mean by too detailed??? that's kinda weird... cuz clean sounding will allow you to listen longer comfortably... |

QUOTE(power911 @ Mar 27 2011, 08:20 PM) @nismo91 i don't know how to say this but, either i am not a person who loves 'bright' sounding speaker, or whether when i tested it the treble is set to maximum or not. but i don't like its characteristic. i prefer to have heavier vocal on the spectrum. but based on my test in the same shop, MX6021 sound better than MX5021. no matter if the MX5021 have dual midrange driver. what do you mean by too detailed??? that's kinda weird... cuz clean sounding will allow you to listen longer comfortably... those who prefer MX5021 than MX6021 could probably share same thoughts with me, that the MX6021 tweeter is somehow not comfortable. well it's been awhile since i listen to those PC speaker system. i have not been listening to many PC speakers for a long time. currently happy with all my PC speakers, trying to avoid poison lol. btw oot the Focal XS is a very good 2.1 system, if you have the budget and you love mids and high. |

that's probably because of the MX6021 messy trebles caused by the amp...
the trebles kinda reminds me of Edifier C3's messy trebles XD well it's a fun speaker anyway... Added on March 27, 2011, 9:55 pm QUOTE(plunderer1 @ Mar 27 2011, 09:21 PM) oic ... what is mean shitting power supply ?? yup... you can lower the chance by adding surge protector but with it you get slightly less power out of your speakermean if i get something like surge protector can lower the chance to get hissing sound rite? QUOTE(power911 @ Mar 27 2011, 09:54 PM) that's probably because of the MX6021 messy trebles caused by the amp... waoh ... its mean will affect the performance of the speaker ?? then what can i use ??the trebles kinda reminds me of Edifier C3's messy trebles XD well it's a fun speaker anyway... Added on March 27, 2011, 9:55 pm yup... you can lower the chance by adding surge protector but with it you get slightly less power out of your speaker the reason for me to use surge protector bcuz its can filter noise and add some more prcotection... |
