I've got the same issue here, GPS can't get a fix on my location in Papago X5 (but can get in Google maps).

Using HTC Desire, stock Froyo.

I'm using the trial. It works. But i'm wondering when the trial will expire too. I have downloaded the map from the official PAPAGO taiwan website.
I got the GPS satellite lock rather easily. So if you can't get a satellite lock, most likely it's your mobile in-built GPS problem.

I'm using an external bluetooth GPS which i bought from ebay for less than RM50. And i find it very useful since my mobile GPS is a not working well.

I once like that, try find a really open place, away from high-rises first, using HTC Desire with stock froyo also.

I am using PapagoX5 on SGS but it is a trial version. Kinda like it, think it is the best GPS software for Android so far in the market. Some more the maps are free to download.

I am wondering where to buy this as well. I don't want to go the website to buy it coz I don't understand the language.

Guys, I'm using X5 on SGS - how do you do an address search? There's no such option in the menu. Only POI/Road search.

Thanks

Just use the road search. They are quick choosy about the way you insert the road name.
