I went to NCC.... to repair my bluetooth problem.. same time.. I ask them about the silver Rim part are under warranty or not...

GOOD NEWs is..  the silver part are under warranty...  U can claim warranty if ur N97 silver rim colour fade off!!! 

But, the part do not have very much quantity.. limited..  if the stock run out, you gonna wait... 

and the Len.. if scratch, u can Claim too!! this will have to change the back white rim body.. the whole body gonna change coz the lens parts are part of this white body.... Just now I check in 1U NCC.. only white have.. don't think black body have stock..  if no stock, have to wait for stock...

I finish my Good News story.. thank u very much.. tomorrow gonna collect my "brand new" N97 ...  laugh.gif

Btw , since someone has mentioned about the silver rim part being covered in warranty. Is there any possibles that NCC would be willing to change from black to white housing given that they do not have the parts available for black housing?

the back housing only cover if ur Lens is scratch... the part only not available in 1U NCC.. other places maybe have.... change colour?!! then ur N97 become a "limited edition" already...

Just got a whole bunch of NCC from googling after posted the message notworthy.gif Btw, any chances the only 1U honour that silver rim warranty only? Well, I will check the amcorp mall NCC in this coming week. Thanks.

does it makes sense to retire my N97 and go for X6? Cause I have two of this phones in hands now. Capacitive screen is awesome, responsiveness is awesome. but X6 does not have physical qwerty and the home screen's not as awesome.

of course capacitive touch are respond faster... but if compare to N97.. I believe the gap are not that far...

in my opinion.. I wwill not change a N97 to X6... U should know how much u enjoy typing in a qwerty and U should also know how troublesome when every want to input have to call up the on screen KB.... esp if u surf net...

just my humble opinion...

If u trade in at the shop, u will only get 1.2k!

I wanted to trade in my N97 plus topup to get a new phone but when the seller offer me that amount for trade in, I completely changed my mind!

I rather keep my N97 than have to bear the loss!

So I suggest u think hard b4 u decide to sell unless u r willing to accept the huge losses!

i hacked my N97 in V12..so after updated to V20, i still didn't do the hard reset..so the hack is still there tongue.gif .. and yes V20 is still not hackable.. guess you have to wait for it sweat.gif if V20 become hackable, i'm gonna hard reset my N97 and hack it back brows.gif

I just get my "brand new" n97 from NCC...

the New silver part are more like real chrome.. more matching the screen chrome part compare to my previous original matt silver finish..

whole white rim housing also changed... it is more "white" than the back cover now.. sweat.gif sweat.gif

bufung, what bt problems were you having?

im actually thinking of getting the gps shielding fix, but the last time i asked them about it they didnt even know about it

glad to know about the silver paint problem being fixed, mine's damn ugly right now. even got a speck of dust under the screen arghh

Hi All,

Need some help :

1. How to remove /uninstall the Adobe PDF that is pre-install in N97 which has trial license ? Cannot find the program in the Application Manager.

2. How to install game program into N97 Game Folder? Normally it will install under Application Folder. The program didn't ask where is the target destination.
