You might need to lacquer your nails abit I guess?

I did manicure, apply nails lotion, but the nails still very soft, can bend easily and flexible, easily break too, and the nails surface layer easily comes off. My nails are too weak. sad.gif I've been playing classical guitar for 7 years..

with glue of course! smile.gif Once you stick it, you want it to be there for a long time. but you can still peel it of with a little force. I seldom use it, only when my nails is broke and need to perform. I think beautician know more about fake nails than me, you can consult one. smile.gif

Mind a picture of your fingernails?

Regarding the hygiene issue, most of the stain in my nails is because I eat without fork and spoon. P

Something like this or in between la. Takes a long time to learn how to cut and shape nicely. When the shape is right you will know it by the sound

But if you eat food with hand.... I don't know how to help you hahahaha. Maybe use fork and spoon more la biggrin.gif

Especially while eating curry...

Wait. You got no teacher meh? If you're serious in classical must find a good teacher because got some things in classical where you need especially technique that you most probably didn't from steel strings.

Forget calcium & milk, it doesn't work.

Eat 2 eggs everyday and try to introduce a collagen supplement into your diet. You will notice the improvement after 2 weeks.

eh on your "Richard clayderman's ''Canon in D'' on guitar" your guitar is out of tune ever so slightly.

Have you done your grade exams yet? What grade are you?

Is there anything you can apply to your nail to make it harder?

I mean, you apply it during your play only. Something like lacquer.

I apply nails polish with 3 layers: base coat, color coat, top coat. It makes my nails harder a bit. The base/top coat featured ingredients that add strength to the nail. biggrin.gif

hmmm maybe you are not absorbing the calcium.... do you have sufficient vit D intake?
if the nails are very soft and if there are abberations on the nail itself like ridges, white spots etc it could be indicative of some underlying chronic condition. if healthwise you feel you are alright then get hold of a collagen supplement otherwise a general medical checkup would be in order.
