Yes, but I know a guitarist who hurt his ring finger then train his pinky to replace it. so unless you got no choice just use ima for plucking. LYN CLASSICAL GUITAR CLUB, A place for classical guitarist to chat

QUOTE(mhb @ Dec 28 2010, 07:24 PM) For real? Can't say if it's the wrong technique, it's unorthodox technique though. Classical guitar technique don't use the pinky although flamenco uses it.I mean, thumbs for the two basses (Low E and A) Index finger for D Middle for G Ring finger for B Pinky for high E Or is this a wrong technique? |

mhb,
Are you asking how to play this part in the song? ------------------------------------- ------------------------------------- -------2---0------------------------ -3-------------3----2----0--------- ------------------------------------- -1----------------------------------- There's two notes (F notes) that sounds together in the beginning, just play the low E string with thumb, D string with index finger together. |

ok,
actually the 3 fingers other than the thumb, you can actually use them to play other strings.. don't let your fingers froze.. keep them moving.. make them alive! don't just bound to rules!! |

QUOTE(mhb @ Dec 29 2010, 03:01 PM) I think you refer to the last 2 bar ? play two F octave apart?Just remember your right hand fingers can move up and down, you can use any fingers to pluck any strings but you need a good sense of judgment to do it properly and effectively. For you case, just use p and i for these two notes. Can you read notes? if not I suggest you learn it. did you take any lessons? if not, I strongly suggest you do, it will help you alot especially this elementary problems of yours. |

I just want to recommend a guitar to you guys. A friend of mine has been using the Yamaha APX700 for quite a while and it sounds really good. It's a medium sized acoustic with pickups and the body has a cutaway. It's isn't very loud on it's own and the sound well, you've got to hear it yourself.
Edit: Guitar is actually APX 700 not CPX 700. This post has been edited by mumeichan: Dec 30 2010, 05:34 AM |

I guess that particular model is more suitable for recording stuff right? |
