QUOTE(nimrod323 @ Nov 19 2009, 10:46 AM) Guys regarding the A550 body at RM2300, it seems the shop is not offering it at that price, so the forrumer at photo malaysia is one lucky guy, the current pricing is as follows. Wah... nice price for the 1680 set! waaaaa.... tempting la... hm... but notice that if I do get a550, it's going to be a love-hate relationship with it... rm2620 for body a550+ CZ1680= RM4670 a550+ SAL18250 = RM 4020 This is at Sony Centre UG floor Low yat plaza, have to look for Scott CHin QUOTE(millenia3000 @ Nov 19 2009, 12:40 PM) Chris! what're u waiting for! QUOTE(freddy manson @ Nov 19 2009, 12:39 PM) self-birthday-gift eh? Is it because of the A350's LCD resolution is much lower than your PC's resoluion ?go go go for ultra wide! // just got my +10 filter from ahmike.. but last night i perasan sumthing.. (almost) all the pic that i took, the color doesnt look the same when viewing it at the camera body but upon transfering to PC its the same as the real thing.. is it the camera's body fault? the LCD fault di? haiya... cause i'd poke around to change settings but the color is still not as vibrant as the real thing tried different ISO but still, the image color looks the same only in PC but quite 'dull' in the LCD.. |

QUOTE(albnok @ Nov 19 2009, 10:08 AM) v1rtual: I would rather get a F58 + F42 for studio use. The quick swivel is of not much use on a light stand. The strobe function doesn't work wirelessly. The F42 is also smaller and lighter, so it makes a good backup for shooting events. bro if i use the setting u mention...the lowest power i could set on the CTRL flash is it 1/36 24mm too? However, if I wanted 3, I would get a F58 + F58 + F42. The A700/A850/A900 can use one F58 on camera to control three groups: CTRL (on-camera) RMT (off-camera group 1) RMT2 (off-camera group 2) The F42 has no custom function to select whether it is in RMT or RMT2 so it is always in RMT. The F58 has the option so it can be in RMT or RMT2. Obviously, in order to have 2 off-camera groups, one of them needs to be in RMT2, and it can only be a F58. So: A700/A850/A900 + F58 in CTRL+ mode, power set by the CTRL ratio F42 in WL mode, power set by the RMT ratio F58 in WL mode in RMT2 group, power set by the RMT2 ratio actually whats the diff btwn using F58(CTRL) + F58(RMT2) + F42(RMT) vs using those cheap radio controller with 2 flashes(assume i dont wan any light/spill from the front)??we stil can manually control the power even we use the controller right?? |

Bro, live view on Alpha cams can be switched off via a simple button only.....I oso rarely use LV on my A300, but its very useful to capture images at very strange angles (i took a street view at the grass tip level, u cant do that on OVF unless u lay prone on the grass in the middle of the road)... need to find that pic to explain, but i think u get what i mean... So, apart from the live view which u totally dont need to use (but nice to have when u really need it), whats stopping u?? I dont think the replacement A7XX will appear before end of the year.... and no indication on prices yet either... |

Fellas , got one really noob question. When shooting in LV mode with external flash gun attached are there any way to 'trick' the LV thinking that we're going to use lower shutter speed so that we can view the composition at the LV. So far if indoor shoot try to use LV (shutter speed 1/80 f5.6) In LV is too dark.
If there is a section of this explanation in the manual i am truly sorry. Tried looking about this in both of the manual. But didn't find any (or so i think :\ ). |

hi bro..wanna ask something about lcd and the colour....somehow my A550 the lcd display things more vivid than on my laptop lcd (I cant calibrate my laptop lcd but i assume it's as close as the real colour) Maybe can I show some bro's here and see if u see my problem??
Problem = A550 LCD shows pics more VIVID than the actual picture displayed on my computer I have taken some pics using my T70 to illustrate what I am trying to say. Pic 1 = Actual pic from A550 (beautiful isn't it?) Pic 2 = Taken from T70 the overall pic Pic 3 = T70 point at A550 LCD in review mode (the same pic review as in Pic 1 above) Pic 4 = T70 point at A550 LCD in review mode (with FLASH on T70) - this pic seems to show/catch the VIVID-ness that I am seeing Overall the pics from T70 is almost as close but maybe about 10% +/- in colour variance. i think A550 LCD definitely shows the image much more Vivid.
Last sunday, few of us were shooting food. Mine is A700 and my friend is A550. We shoot a slice of salmon, my A700 LCD shows very close colour to the real thing, A550 shows the salmon as very reddish. We tried to change whatever creative settings in the cam but it still is like that. This post has been edited by hokc77: Nov 19 2009, 05:19 PM |
