I refer to my mobo menu, that 1 is HD audio and AC' 97 is for those old mobo 1 if not mistaken.

Dont know what is the difference lar, see HD audio got more wire then plug it in, should be sound nicer.

stick it at the case?or put at bottom there?

the case is suppose to be like that

ur case got a hole near psu? if got then kasi sumbat all cacing if muat
then u solatape the cable at the back there.. duno tahan lama or not. lol. just try it.

turn your cpu heatsink fan and hide the fan cable.
