Yeah, just a short and quick ride with Xandman @ FRIM this morning. Secret training for him done. He's good in climbing! rclxms.gif

Anybody went to Kiara to watch the MTB XC race?

no problem using bigger rotor with existing brakes. just need adaptor for that sized rotor. much cheaper than changing brakeset.
btw the magura is 200GBP each. so for front AND back u need 400GBP. can do alot more things with that kind of money on ur bike. brows.gif

I would like to add something for Xandman after changing the aftermarket rotors... try after market brake pads.

Just imagine replacing your stock proton brake pads with Sumitomo... big difference in terms of performance and safer too!

Example: EBC, Fibrax, Goodridge, Koolstop...etc (Just a suggestion for cost effective solution)

Like DD Ivanov said to Roy Fokker in Macross Zero.. you must treat your machine gently.

Also like driving down Genting.. if always on the brakes... sure fry wan.

He came down slowly and then to a complete stop... I asked him "Whassat smell ? Try touching the rotors... tongue.gif "

juicy 3 is avid's entry level hydro brakes, comparable to tektro auriga, entry level shimano and avid bb7 nia. if used and fried must be cheaper, around rm150 whistling.gif

but yeah, at rm500 i would add abit more get hayes stroker(or get stroker 2nd hand). got good reviews on bikeradar and mtbr.com.

Added on November 24, 2009, 10:37 amoh yea, deore 2010 brakes look nice, price also decent for the design.  around rm300+

a good thing to remember is to keep ur ass vertically above the crank no matter what situation. so when climbing uphill, move to the nose of the saddle. when going in a slight slope DH, move the butt towards the back of the saddle. when steep DH, move ass behind the saddle, above rear tire.

if u follow this basic guideline, ur weight distribution should be balanced enough. if slight slope DH u move ass above rear tire later the front becomes too light, hard to steer and front tire not much traction. likewise if climbing and ur weight position is too far back, can wheelie, or front tire wanders left and right.

if u want extra training i can help. just come to KDCF i teach u brows.gif
