i was doing my ironing as you do on a rainy monday night and mind wandered into movie of cape no7, and how the lead character quits taipei and returns to his home village in the south. to think he rides all they way south and that leads to sex with chi tanaka, and thoughts of king liu riding all round taiwan in 20 days. i was thinking why dont we do the same, ride round something? maybe something to mull over on a TT session on a cold rainy night such as this?

custom bikes actually mean the frame is tailor made just for. sweet but v expensive!
i think you mean custom assembled bikes where all the parts are selected by the owner and then put on the frame that you bought off the reack at the lbs.
it isnt really custom coz you end up putting on pretty much the same zoot parts as everybody else.

so the boy no need blinkers for night ride coz his DU ballz glow in the dark! :laugh:

how long before your eyes start to wander? having seen your frame, i am definitely going all alloy and just use carbon on seat posts and bars.

sniper: any thoughts on a surge protector? what is good? i think i need 1 as the rainy season has seen alot of strong thunderstorms.

spec: for use in mainly xc and light trail riding. bias towards light weight, and medium to low cost.
things expected to change are
wheelset,
brakeset which must be hydro.

i think you will be out by a few 10s of feet per second nia. you wont even notice, not like you using the gps to drop bomb on osama bin laden, right?

ok, actually if any of us want to go bling, if the budget allows and we want why not. but in my case, it is more of a question of need since in this wet weather, the front brake even with tectonics installed seems to lack bite and squeaks too much. and since discs do give better wet weather bite, it was worth a mental exercise in studying the possibilty of an upgrade. but since i will have to change wheelset also and with a lot of expenses piling up in the coming year end, i think i will kill off the idea. thanks for all those who have taken part in my tender call.
but for upgrade, i think i will upgrade my gpu on my htpc from the onboard Nv 8300 to the Nv 9600 gt (green model) since it is starting to show lag when i am watching BR rips. wont cost more than a few hundred versus 1k plus for new brakes and wheels.
