QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ Nov 10 2009, 03:58 PM) I answer for Stimix... he was going 50kmph on tarmac (I believe that was his personal best) downhill with one hand when he crashed. one handed? what was his other hand doing? the issue with going fast isnt exactly the speed, its the body position. going downhill at 30km/h is much scarier than 30km/h on flat since ur body position is more forward, and braking or turning handlebar too much can cause and endo, while on flat there is abit more lee way for braking and steering b4 u can endo. so i guess my advice is: if wanna go fast go on flat, not on downhill. Speaking about downhill.. my max dh speeds are only ~60kmph.. it's scary going head first on a light bike. |

Anthem should better then my HT lor...go DH get trail or AM bike loh. anthem xc mah For me a nub, it's impossible to get faster cause need to brake or position body to control the rear tire to avoid over/under steer or endo while try to navigate. i think most are using stock but good stock
Sometime if you are not 100% sure, it's better to get build one since you wont need to mess with geometry issues. So far i think most reputable brand have quit ok combo. I would say scott have the best combo follow by Giant n trek. But most of times it's sales person whom layan you that actually make the real dif. |

saw a new localised magazine called Cycling Asia for rm 15. got a bit more to read for your money lo. but its just like a localised version of mb uk or cycling uk.
custom bikes actually mean the frame is tailor made just for. sweet but v expensive! i think you mean custom assembled bikes where all the parts are selected by the owner and then put on the frame that you bought off the reack at the lbs. it isnt really custom coz you end up putting on pretty much the same zoot parts as everybody else. |

I was like WTF the only education session is the lbs index in end pg. Definitely NOT going to buy it anymore. |

QUOTE(mousepad87 @ Nov 10 2009, 07:42 AM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Dont use semi slick tyre in muddy trail. this what u get*1st pic taken when I just entered the mud trail. at the end of it, the mud is 2 or 3 times ticker. even im cycle at tarmac the mud still stick on it Just change your tires to Kenda Nevegal XCs and you won't have mud sticking onto your tire. Hence, the mud that's stuck on your tire won't go onto your brake pads, saving your money to upgrade to disc brakes... Did it downhill at Jalan Ara while I was chasing a Land Rover Freelander with my friend who was riding a Canondale.
