Actually 14' or 15'6 is fine for me.
Cause both pros and cons.. 14' machine is lighter than 15'6 right?

Would 14' with same graphic card had better display vs dell 15'6 studio 15?
Dell screen is WLED, is that backlit LED or pure LED screen?

The advantage for Toshiba is the extended warranty and most feedback I hear is that Toshiba quality is better than Dell.

all still backlit LED.
14'' and 15'' will still have the same performance if the resolution is the same, its just the 15.6' will have more syok.
and 14'' will have more heat as less space for heat to dissipate, generally speaking.

Add one more thing here, 14" would seem charper than 15.6" due to the pixel density.

But, my advice is take the 15.6" if you're going for gaming and movies smile.gif 14" is too small to see anything laugh.gif

Do you think buying notebook is better to get from manufacturers themselves such as Dell, HP or to get from shops?

compaq is good if you want to keep under 2k,
but 2k for now better choose k40ab/k50ab laugh.gif

toshiba got one which *might* have same performance with dell studio 15, but more expensive, rm 2899.
the only advantage I can see of that toshiba is its 14'' thus lighter.
