I think the front page needs some adjustments like the "tips".Its already very outdated

Maybe the format for asking should something like this:

1)Budget
2)Usage of laptop
3)Size/Weight
4)Brand

Add some more $$ for Dell 1555..Really worth it and the design is appealing too

Add one more thing here, 14" would seem charper than 15.6" due to the pixel density.

But, my advice is take the 15.6" if you're going for gaming and movies 14" is too small to see anything

I saw on the net selling for US$1.3k.....so should be around 5-6k here

But being "N"60dp and also 16",its not gonna be cheap.We all know that 16" laptops aren't cheap right?

If its K series, then maybe la But if its around 3-3.5k, its under my radar

IMHO, hardcore gaming on a 13-14" is a bit limited.Try to get 15" and above for more viewing pleasure

Yes the S57 is sure tempting for its BD drive.However how many of us buy original BDs?And S57's native reso is an inferior 720p,so its like a little wasted here....unless u plan to hook it up to your FHD tv

But for a 4k range, u have pretty much other choices worth considering namely Dell SXPS 16 at 4.2k,Asus N51vn at 4.4k,Acer 5935.

Actually depends on your usage.If you ain't a that eye candy(games),then u can opt for the Asus as 2 years of warranty is a good deal

IMHO,Asus' design is better

If its just surfing the web,just about any laptop will do the job.Go for the design+build quality then

Add in MSI GX725, HP DV6 and Asus N60dp(most likely within that budget)

Just go for it since it can suit all of your requirements.Design is appealing too Btw, just what's up with this Apple "wow" factor here

"Tahan" for 8 hours..thats for CULV laptops.They are built for that but with lower graphic solution

Kinda pointless comparing performance when the resolution is different.SXPS 16 has an advantage by having the versatility to change its resolution
