obviously no regrets keepin the stealth iron man but a bit pok kai dy la bcos of tat fella... ehhehe

the poster was painted by my cousin long long time ago... he was an art student. whereas for me, i cant paint or draw to save my life... heheh

actually the figs themselves are not tat hard to find, even XL brings them in n i bought most of the bball figs from there as well but the backboard/rim is veli hard to find here n veli expensive so i bought mine from US spawn store itself as few years back, i had a fren who went to arizone for work so apa lagi, ask him to sapu for me.
mcf has nv release any MJ figs b4 thus explainin y i dun haf any... hehe. upper deck has exclusive rites to produce MJ stuff n they did release a series of fgis called pro shots n there are currently 2 series out n the 3rd 1 comin out next year. my fren in US help me buy dy but dunno when oni he can bring the stuff back for me... hehe

Got time spam one quick picture of the Michael Jordan Poster behind.
I think in order to create more ultra realism, you can try see can find those clear plastic poles to replace the current black ones or not. So they really look like floating in the air doing crazy dunks hehe.

Ok my turn to spam few pictures. Nothing much, just been on a military fever recently and taken out most of my medicom starwars figures to display.
Oh yeah also got back my 2nd Dutch after the first body went into the snake eyes body mod 1.0 bash, and now he has a partner "Billy" yaaay.

Picture spam starts, hope you guys like it.

First Pic
USMC McKnight not done yet, was fixing him till 4am yesterday so going give it a rest and continue over the weekend.
I must say if you guys like military movie figures, this fellar is a must buy. Many of us sure remember him (Tom Sizemore) from Black Hawk Down as McKnight

First impression is i didn't know the AK47 is made out of metal and real wood material shocking.gif
Swapped his gloves with black TDK gloves, looks better now.
Later see where can get a suit for him to blend in with Tony just like the first movie.

Hi all, pardon my intrusion. I'm new here.

I would like to know if any of you knows where to purchase the 2 in 1 Hot Toys Superman figures.

I seem to missed it long...time ago.

And I'm hoping that the price would not "goreng" that crazy.

Try finding the first issue HT Superman, cause the facesculpt is more natural.
The second re-issue 2 in 1 Superman from HT came repainted to a darker asian skin tone colour.

Meanwhile ...some updated pictures on my fully geared up USMC.
Really worth every penny in terms of gears, quality of stitching and pouches is top notch quality, surpasses HT military definitely thumbup.gif drool.gif
It is also recommend for those new to military line because the attachment of the pouches are glued with plastic velcro at each end.

Time to lock and load. Enjoy.

Its Rm570 cos i already paid rm100 to the shop. but due to my current economical status, i have to sell the order to someone else cos i dont want to get call spams from time machine after this. Interested buyers can cod with me at time square kl cos were taking it straight from the shop.

Yup take your time to refer to website pictures. what i normally do is open the pics on laptop and gear up my military figures.

Depends on what is the final pose you wanna do, then gear him up to your liking.

Glad you like the USMC man. rclxms.gif

oh i see great deal indeed.

as for the missle on the mark 1, mine was very sturdy and tight, have to pull very hard only to move it up like in the pics.

it doesnt move up and down freely for mine.
Nope i didnt take out the rocket before, and didnt know that it can be removed on the mark 1.

20thCentury: another quick paint is using aerosol spray cans, at least thats how eric from xl-shop always use to build his dioramas.
was in xl last week, and saw him in the middle of finishing the diorama.

As for sheva, she looks good and sexy, but funny thing is why they swap her draganov for a psg1??
Thought she was going to be shipped with her draganov?

Drop Draganov from Sheva... moved Chris's PSG1 to Sheva.... was done on the official announcement stage (for pre-order). Old news really..... maybe Jill will come with Draganov... but I bought a HT's Draganov (HT's modern arms series 3) just in-case not.

If you intend to use hardware store spray can, make sure you have a coating of plaster, otherwise it will eat into styrofoam as well. You can't spray too close distance either.
The fastest way to paint realistic wall is using rag cloth/sponge by dabbing and smudging.
Emulsion paint is the cheapest way to go about whereas gouche is a better option to poster colour. You won't want to use gloss paint because it will eat into styrofoam again and take forever to dry.So finish painting and use gloss fixative that sells in art shop.
If lazy to paint over plaster coating, you can mix some paint when mixing powderfilla for base. Then gradually darken joint area.Final touches by spray paint and brushes.

Sheeva's shirt could have been better, especially the part between the chest and tummy. Or maybe it's the body joint? Or the chest is not big enough?

Its that her shirt that was not properly stretch/worn over the body..

It could be the flash.... but Chris and Sheva has very similar skin tones...

Sheva way too tall... or Chris too short...

First photo posting over here. biggrin.gif

This is my first ph figure and it didn't dissapoint me.It's a very fine box set.Accessories is abundant and many new items that were never made before.

Just a quick review.
Body articulation is a little lacking but I like the muscle being carved into the figure's limb.Overall it's ok.
HS paint job is nice and the expression kinda unique.
Rifle is good and pretty solid.
Accessories is top notch and the pouches strap has a hard plastic embeded. To put on is fairly easy but if make a mistake is a nuisance to take out.
The best thing about the set is the glove.Other manufactures should take note of this material as it take less than a minute to put on.

Damn, sony alpha, sweet camera dude.

Tested it last time at sony style, that camera really does take amazing macro shots without flash or with.

And yeah the thing with the USMC mcknight is, you really gotta plan on how you wanna attached the pouches, cause if attached wrongly, taking it out might be a hassle or if not careful damaging the straps on the spartan armour vest.

It's more of adding on stuff.I will leave the vest as it is since the strap is a nuisance to take out.Might change the rifle though.
I love to add stuff to box set I purchase. For example:

Hi guys, just wanna ask a simple question.
For those who have the HT Terminator T600 rubber mask version, are the pistons on the arms supposed to be solid or loose?
I was supposed to collect mine a few days ago and all the pistons are solid, save for one. So I was wondering if it is supposed to be like that or is it a defect? Anyway I did not manage to collect the T600 that day cos' the mask was missing. I was assured that HT will replace it but I have to wait 2-3 weeks. I am considering to cancel it and get it elsewhere.
I am a perfectionist when it comes to models, especially HT stuff as they don't come cheap. Small defects on items like these turns me off.

Thanks in advance!

where did you purchase that T-600 on pre-order?
Well no matter how perfect hottoys qc try to be, minor flaws and defects on their figures do occasionally occur. Its normal.
Quite hard to find a perfect T-600 because the term perfect for one person to another varies here and there.

Some look for perfection in the eyes, pistons, weathering, articulation on the T-600.
So you really gotta ask yourself which points of perfection you are looking for.

Don't forget to share with us which shop was that, at least new collectors can be safe or double check their purchases.

If you are near/locate Diaso at the Curve, IOI Mall, Black band strips of various sizes should be available.

Takara's MG34 has lots of parts though plastic... Many MG34 available... some are even die-cast.... The stand should compose of 3 piece parts... should be easily repairable

Can you give me the shop name & location?

Mine is Dragon, the dual pod is hooked onto a ball like joint, which is very difficult to glue back. I think whole part is plastic, am thinking of getting replacement instead. Where can i easily find 1 in good condition & not too exp?

Hi there, thanks for the reply. Well, since the pistons are supposed to be loose then I guess its not a defect.
I have decided to stick to my order and wait for the mask.

The place is Shioktoys. I am a regular there and so far all the stuff I got from them are all in good condition, until this. Cant blame them though, if the package came without the mask.

Well, wherever you purchase your items, just make sure you inspect it first, especially for broken or loose joints. Not worth keeping it MISB if the item inside already has a defect.

Mine have this problem on all the bands, I believe it was due to heat which caused the band to shrink and become non-elastic. My other panzer cops doesn't have the problem. Pretty easy to replace just need to find the right size. Will try 100yen shop got one in my place.

Regarding the Machine Gun, how much approx the toy shops selling loose? Plastic & Metal. I want the 2 support legs to be foldable.

blade as a character is cool.. but when they 'Toy It'.. erm not so much.. for me of course.. its the same thing with wolverine..

usually they nail the face quality.. and now they are moving towards making the bodies looks real. who knows next they will put genitals. haha..

Well, i've always like the coolness of wesley snipes as daywalker in the blade movie.

Will definitely get this. Americans will definitely love blade when it comes out next year from HT.

I also saw some pics u posted that is taken from HK forums as well..... That one certainly doesn't look like the Sheva that we see in the game..... I dunno, maybe it is just me..... sad.gif sad.gif

Sheva's Mini-Review primarily on the new arms......

The instruction sheet. In English and Japanese (behind)
user posted image

Comments/Points [compared to the older HotAngel (Machiko/ERT/SF arms/body)]
1) Two point elbow articulation reduced to 1 that allows 100 degrees (Picture A), no big lost, most human can go to around 130 at most.
2) (Picture C) actually the arms can raise beyond 90 degrees, but you may put a bit of stress in the rubber covering the shoulders. The rubber covering is the thing that impedes it arms from going higher, push too hard you might tear it.
3) I believe there is a lost of the mid-upper arm break (between shoulder & elbow), that allows the arms to twist outward and inward (Related to Warning pic 2nd from left and [4] below)
4) Improved shoulder ball joint that allows more free shoulder movement but opens some gaps on the shoulder holes of the rubber body. The arms twist at 45 degrees (as stated) is solely based on the ball socket attached to the body (unless someone can proof otherwise). Maybe restoring say 50 degrees twist to mid-upper arm break (as in [3]) would not be too stressful on the rubber arms.
5) The rubber body mould appears to be the same as other HotAngel bodies.... (no thinner rubber at neck and such)

Seems like toy biz sculpt is better...ignoring the material used.

those who owned mk1, could you please look at these 2 pics, is it normal for the spring/wire to have some "loose extended" part on the spring wire? you know if we pull the spring more than it can absorb the force, then the spring will no longer be able to get back to its original spring condition. kind a look cacat if you look at my real actual mk1.

judge-the: yup you gotta be careful on the springs. The spring hose found on the mark 1 is similiar to those used in their first generation AVP predators.

Only that is is now slimmer and easier to bend or get damage when twisted accidently.

For brand new in box is best to check the hoses around the mark 1, to make sure no excessive bending on the spring hose.

springs can be easily replaced, modelling parts from Japan sold by HLJ for-instance.. with 0.5mm, 1mm, 1.5mm and such diameter...

You might want to insert a wire within the spring to prevent/minimise the the spring from being overstretched...

Yes bro, if the final person packing the mark1 into the box at the factory, did a sloppy qc job. might cause the springs to bend.

i bought this from another forumer here. lesson learned so next time must COD by myself when it comes to displayed HT figure. agreed to buy it because seller need confirmation from me and he was rushing another misb mk1 from another person and due to my location i can't COD right away. in the end my brother helped me COD. to be honest if i do see this cacat part during COD i most probably would not proceed with the deal.

no offence bro but i'm like you too... you weren't happy with the missile cover on his left arm so you decided to sell it off and get a new mk1. for me these 3 spring hose really annoying lah. the more i look at it the more upset i am.

let me think it over this weekend on the solution for the spring hose. if can find similar spring hose here in kl maybe i'll give it a try.

Chacha Asai's body review (compared to Hot Angel body)

The red arrow points to the big difference from inner workings of the Hot Angel body (apart different rubber outer layer)... Double ended ball socket is being used here, this allows the body much greater range of movement than the Hot Angel body.

-No plastic inserts to the breast portion of the rubber torso. Could be the same rubber torso of HT's first females (Ripley etc)

-Bending the body to the extreme do distort the outer rubber body.

-Grease is applied to the ball sockets of the shoulders and thorax/abdomen joints.

-The more segmented inner body leaves more empty space within the rubber torso, the body may appear slightly slimmer.

-Chacha's multi-layered dress tightly bound across her waist inhibits the potential of wider articulation offered by the body. Empty space within the body (compared to Hot Angel) allows the waist to be squeezed/compressed smaller.

The akira bike looks chun but pricing it a little more than the batmobile when it was retail last time, is a wrong move by medicom.

Lights looks cool though, hope the chrome paint don't get scuff during transportation.

I think informing us about the sales are allowed but posting the product and price are a no-no for the moderator.

Akira probably the last few Medicoms before retiring. I though the Bike comes bundled with Kaneda no? Also will be the most expensive toy I'd ever buy if I buy it.

Crefigz if your price can beat shop price like Shiok & XL we don't mind buying from you.

true different ppl have different understanding on defects but i do agreed with bro mywii, it's better to list out everything clearly to avoid misunderstanding such as now... the spring hose problems. again, i do consider this part of my mistake, agreed before looking at the actual figure. on my side, i can't do much as i gave you my word so have to close the deal as you told me you already bought a new misb mk1 and no turning back anymore for you.

lastly, on your side you dont consider those spring hose as defects but again, it's your buyer who paid and bought from you who consider those as defects and for me it does look serious and very annoying. it's quite bad if you compared with online reviews pic on mk1.

anyway, cant do much as nasi sudah jadi bubur so a good lesson for me as honestly i dont see it's worth what i paid for. perhaps in future seller and buyer should be more careful and learn something from this unfortunate event.

* dear mr moderator, not my intention to create uneasiness among everyone here but just sharing what had happened earlier so that everyone can learn something useful from this incident and i'll stop making noise again, again and again after this

Seriously/To be fair... these springs are easily replaceable... Predator(s) and Endo(s) from HT have using them.. I bought dozen or so variable sizes from HLJ for personal projects... and it maybe of higher quality than the ones HT uses... In fact, these spring maybe the easiest & cheapest of the HT's figures' parts to replace.

Clothing..

2 overall pieces, material felt like cotton for the inner dress, for the outer dress the gold pattern seems woven-in, wire-inserts in the 3 layer of the shoulder "petal-like-thingy". Both dresses are quite complex, quite difficult to arrange the folds and such..I think it will be difficult to fit the dress to any other female figure. Its a tight fit on Chacha's small bust body

Head (sculpt)......
Done by the Japanese talent who sculpted Silken Floss' head, but the face sculpt does not quite capture the Japanese actress in the movie, Her entire hair-piece is of thin PVC-like material, underneath her hair is actually hollow (you can squeeze the bulge of her head/hair-piece in)

E-bay pic... biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

3 Goemon figures... 1 coming Kamui Gaiden... Though the Goemon(s) do not come with conventional katana(s), but if you buy Japanese PVC figures plenty of katana(s) around. I have more than a dozen or so all manner of swords.. 1/6 scale or similiar..

b.t.w. "the Boss" reached XL....

Although Ringgit has been weak... for the past 2 weeks USD has been weaker... as HKD being pegged to USD is also weak... I believe it is 518 (Wesker, but Roketeer at 528)... you can get more discounted at BTS and such... but still over RM500...

Very upset with my DX-01 , bought it lately and was drool.gif with it, but this morrons of ppl in screwed my mood today.
They told to get this slim body TT for the police attire but the head sculpt is not sitting in the correct position where it is suppose.
There is no adaptor to place on the sculpt ? vmad.gif

I should have grab the narrow shoulder TT earlier, but the thing is it was advise by them (so called PRO).
Being very anxious now, any of you here went thru this?? Pls share if there's any solution?

Slim TT is too short and too "slim" for Joker's ... normal TT or narrow shoulder TT will do.. narrow shoulder is still available on XL... normal TT neck adapter will not fit the slim body/neck space on slim body much smaller..

So far I believe only Soldier Story's CIA SAD boxset is the proper figure with skull mask. Will be tough to get one now.
Barrack Sergeant did released skull mask with skeleton glove on their multicam bdu.
Very hot release it on loose and included in CQB and MEF(a scarf rather than balaclava) box.

Best quality will be SS and BS.Very hot is passable and easily available.
I think www.v-storebiz.com still has VH stock. biggrin.gif

Narrow shoulder bro.. after comparison with slim body i noted that there was not much different, slim body was much smaller in size and the head joint does not fit the joker's neck.. thanks for beastx recommendation i bought another narrow shoulder body.

My bank robber head finally got its home with the DX joker.
Personally still think the best head and paintjob by J.C. Hong is the bank robber head.

And my RE5 is finally complete for the moment, till S.T.A.R.S. comes out hopefully with Jill laugh.gif laugh.gif

Cant really advise on which shop is the best but Times Square would be the best place to visit.

Grafitti toys on the 5th floor
Time Machine & XL-shop on the 7th floor

If you're looking 12" action figure, XL-shop would be suitable for you.

If you tell us what type of "action figure" you are interested in maybe we can give more specific shops.

Maybe Mywii or some big players here can bring you around KL.

Really depends on where you are going to stay and going to visit. so my advise is plan your trip well dude and happy hunting for bargains.

Cant really advise on which shop is the best but Times Square would be the best place to visit.

Grafitti toys on the 5th floor
Time Machine & XL-shop on the 7th floor

If you're looking 12" action figure, XL-shop would be suitable for you.

XL Shop ok lar... but Time Machine... errrr???? The taukeh very famous keeping stock one for some time period, then sell at higher price once the item already limited in the market. Sumore charging $$$ when using plastic money.. rclxub.gif

Mini review on HT's mid-night Wesker VGM08.

-All 3 shells of the Hydra are removable.

-The shirt is pleather (not rubber like the boots) that allows more stretching than the coat and pants allow.

-^^The material for the shiny pants (and coat) does not stretch, but it creases and folds like cloths/fabric (at 1/6th scale).

-The boots are rubber but they are thick and hard (than TDK's boots) and does not allow much free movement/posing as TDK/Goemon's boots..

-Wesker in the shirt looks too thin with the TT body. Maybe with some padding at "below the neck"/chest area and around the waist (to prevent the body segments, at the lower back, from damaging the shirt).

Real BD MK3.....

Seriously... attached it back with strong epoxy (and, sand & paint it over if required)......

A picture of the damaged part may help to discern a proper method to fix...

If you have an existing palpay account... its straight foward... you just need to log-in (after you choose establish the billing agreement as you check out HLJ)

and Judge-the .... you can stock up on the spring too for your MK1... its 1mm diameter is I'm nor mistaken, be-careful though...there a solid black and chrome/silvery springs. Wave brand are the cheapest...

If I'm not mistaken Paypal need the confirmation of address... (like wait for your credit card statement at your home address) before really establishing your account... This maybe why it cause the error, as HLJ checks on the address to establish the billing agreement. This maybe bad for you as you might have to wait for a month or so for your CC statement, for if possible for online banking such as maybank or HK bank you'll get the statement from paypal (but maybe not immediately)..

60 ++ hours... left you may not make it... you may need a friend or family with Paypal to help you... once off purchase (with free shipping) is possible

http://www.mwctoys.com/REVIEW_060109a.htm

This figure somehow drop in price as I do see it went as low as below RM500. The only complaint most collectors have is that it is a bit small. Well, this is the nicest 12" hellboy so far ... no choice tongue.gif

Beast ...thought the body is a sculpted muscle body with big chest and biceps?
more on HT Wesker's body compared to a Regular TT, after stripping him.

-Wesker's base body (except the arms and longer leg extensions) is identical to carded TT. The tight shirt pleather constricting Wesker's TT does make Wesker appear thin at the waist/lower back/sides and the pecs/chest area.

Arms:
-Forearms size are very similiar to TT with the exception of added sculpted veins.
-Upper arms has the most change. A-bit shortened, non-straight cut at the swivel to shoulder joint, so as the joint will not be apparent under tight cloths, like Weskers' pleather shirt. Biceps are about the same as regular TT, it is the Triceps portion that has greatly enlarged.
-Shoulders shape is very similiar to regular TT, but it being textured with muscle lines and longer at the upper arm connection (to accommodate the non-straight cut swivel joint).
All in all... a regular TT with some added padding at the Triceps of the arm could very well replace Weskers body (and add some leg extensions too..)

Was lucky as a friend of a fellow collector was letting it go... Just but another body and will get two figures!

Haven't had the time to fiddle with it...

yes his knee is articulation and bends like a normal 12-inch figures, how far it bends depends on how tightly wrap the rubber is to the joints.

Anyone heard of Dragon Model before ? I look at their military 12" figures and I don't see any shop bring in.

http://www.darkfigures.com/

I read their shipping policy but still confuse whether they can enter our shore or not.

Unless someone is willing to dissect their new Big Chap Alien....

it is said that Big Chap use improved joints... so maybe... that said, all their previous aliens, up to the Dog Alien have weak disintegrating joints/legs..

Sheva's metal arms are certainly strong.. could be stainless steel.

if you preorder online you need to pay full rm628 using your credit card. if you preorder personally at their outlet you get the option to pay 30% deposit out of rm628. i would personally prefer going to their outlet instead.

Go to the shop and get better pricing and points.. minimal upfront paid (booking) instead of full price if you order online.

or direct bank-in (m2u).... CC have to go through paypal which deals in USD, you may loose more in the currency exchange. I don't think they have direct CC service for online, I could be wrong....

Minimal cut from the online price... Perorder for the 1st 2 weeks when announced gets better price.. at below RM 600, I would say around RM 10 to 20 below (shop per-order, not online)...

Yup have to agree with many of the collectors here, at the end of the day when you look back on your collection, its not about regretting how much you spent on this hobby.

Its about the passion for collecting, most of us tend to think, what if..... i didn't buy it now, then i will surely regret next time. laugh.gif

Betul to bro... the following are the step of getting poison..

1) Review HT items in various blogs
2) Getting the temptation already in your blood
3) Check pocket... no enough money... die... looking alternate option for the fund
4) Thinking twice whether it worth it or not... so pek chek (desperado) already
5) Getting more poison when see new reviews...
6) When sleeping.. you will having a sweet dream of that toy you finally bought, ... but i prefer a term, nightmare...
7) Finally... wake up... with heavy heart.. go to shop and pre-order....
8) Owned the Toy... Hati pun lega dah... enjoy the toy to the fullest...
9) See the cabinet.. so empty... not enough HT.... haiz... so boring to view..

Hehe.. finally congratulation... you made your self poison already for HT... Wakakakakaka...

Hot Toys hope this picture helps to know why we think that the new sculpt is not like Mj.

This is a photoshop from another toy collector and it shows what is the problem with the new sculpt. The eyes are smaller than the real Mj eyes.

That´s why he looks like an Asian in some shoots:
