There is no warranty card, the only thing you need is receipt of purchase for proof and register your laptop on vip.asus.com to get your 2 years warranty certiified.

ahh.. thats the problem.. a bios update will do.. its fairly easy.. and it wont do any harm.. just a few clicks.. just download the bios file>extract to root folder>get into bios by pressing f2>advance tab>start easy flash>choose the bios file>done!

I done few tests about GTAIV CPU scaling on dual core clock frequency on my desktop, from 2GHz to 3.2GHz, I noticed the average framerate is only down to 20fps from 27fps at 3.2GHz when set at 2GHz. So I done few tweaks on this lappy, as I found out the HD4570 don't have sufficient power to render at high resolution, and you need to disable shader go get decent framerate. This is the setting is the best I got:

1024x480 resolution (it gives widescreen movie feel), if you dont like it 1024x600 will do just fine and lose 1fps average
Texture detail: Medium
Other detail is High except Shadows are off and Render Quality is Highest
View Distance: 15
Detail Distance: 15
Vehicle Density: 15
Shadow Density: 0

If you want more framerate, overclock the GPU a bit, 700MHz core with 600MHz memory will do nicely, and when playing, Alt+Tab to Windows, open Task Manager, and set the GTAIV process priority to Highest

Just for a kicker, I even use onboard HD3200 for fun, it indeed run the games at lowest setting and resolution, not that playable but its not bad either. I surprised it can run it biggrin.gif Maybe Acer Ferrari One netbook using Athlon X2 L310 with HD3200 can even play it tongue.gif

Another thing i noticed is that when i go into hibernate and sleep when i try to wake up from it my screen is still blank but the window is running already cause i can hear the face login success sound. I can go into standby mode in xp and wake up okay but not in vista. WIll the bios update help? Anyway will still try the update. Thanks

i tot 27 and 20fps makes a big difference.. 25fps was kinda like a barrier for it..

and so.. meaning GTAIV is playable thru those settings at around 27fps?? thats pretty great..

and for those EMI safety stuffs.. well.. its listed in the drivers.. so might as well take to know what are they.. might be useful.. who knows.

For the EMI safety, lets say K40/50AB user is wearing a pacemaker or his/or other person is a heart patient with mechanical heart assist, the EMI level might interface with the medical devices. Even in hospital, hand phones is not allowed in ICU as it might interface with critical life sustaining devices.

Thus all those safety declaration & for legal reason that Asus will not be responsible for usage beyond limitation of its products.
