Anyone still manage to find stock around PJ/KL? I tried both FreshGear and PDA Expert @digitalmall which both run out of stock.

Update on the camera issue ; yes there is a slight "pinkish" tint on/about the centre - it is not so obvious when photos are taken . Attached some examples - sorry I am a lousy photographer - as far as I am concerned , I can live with it. For photo buffs they'd be unhappy though. Just wait for the supposedly hotfix from HTC to resolve

Thanks. Oh well, HTC is still lacking in the media/entertainment dept (camera, radio, audio etc).

Regarding a question I asked earlier... can we easily flash/upgrade the ROM ourselves when new version is available? Or must return to store?

I loaded back about 780 SMS ( in and sent ) : the loading back took about 10 secs. I choose traditional display mode - the SMS appear within 2-3 secs.

I tested several SMS sent/recieved - no issue on the lagging as reported. SMS sent/recieved perfectly within seconds

Compared to the cooked 2.5 Manila roms ( previously on HD and TP2 ) the HTC messaging here is much smoother and faster than the cooked roms although the slight lag in loading is still there. I supposed the better performance is due to the higher speed processor

Anyway for those unhappy with it can always apply Zenkinz fix ( revert back to Windows 6/1 format ) , look it up http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=556614. It works beautifully. By the way Zenkinz is our neighbour Sporean member at mobinauts.com.

I find the preinstalled Opera 10 beta is very buggy; yes it loads very fast and browsing speed is better but hangs ocassionally .

Anyway I installed Opera 9.5 ver build 17963.1 and it overides the Opera 10. I still prefer Opera 9.5 ; also because I can carry over all my bookmarks. Anyone knows where exactly is the bookmarks for Opera 10 located ??

This HD2 is really fast . How fast??

Well just comparing it with my htc HD and htc TP2 - guessestimate is about 2 to 4 times faster depending what you use. For installation of programs above 5 MB eg Mapking, Lexisgoo, SpB Traveller etc the installation time is at least 2 times faster.

General usage on programs loading, file opening and browsing is noticeably faster. Examople I access my icons database ( 120 of it ) the TP2 takes about 6-7 secs to open and view all - the HD2 takes only 2 secs

I always take about 8 to 9 mins to fully backup ( using Sprite Backup ) my TP2 ( on WM6.5) ; the same lot of programs and data in my HD2 now only takes 2 mins - incredible!!!!!

I attribute this to the higher processor and greater amount of memory

according to my ex supervisor from Mid Valley, when this batch of stock is sold off, they are gonna wait for a while only they would distribute the second batch. so better grab it before its too late or wait for another 2 weeks or so..

This is DIGI standard notification of Line 1 being used - as far as I know don't think you can get rid of it ; yes it looks annoying and irritating

Use the Zenkinz solution as I have stated earlier - you will not have the lag issue at all ; the MS will be created back as a folder in your email listing ( ie in WM 6.1 format )
