If called in noon or working hours sometimes is very hard. That's normal.

QUOTE(mike86 @ Dec 16 2009, 10:11 PM) well.....i've trying to call in for couple of day, from morning till afternoon - evening - night - midnight Yes, calling Maybank CS can vomit blood. Last month I tried calling the 24 hours CS at 1800-88-1801 (behind my MBB Pet Plat Visa)and was put you on hold like forever. it's all the same....just now i've made another call and no choice i had to go into the lost card department to get my enquiry done and the operator mentioned that due to the government implement the credit card annual fees policy makes alot of ppl calling for this matter but im wonder...how many operators do they have and im not sure im the one who only suffer from this situation opps, btw, im talking too much here but i forgot to mentioned the card i got is the Maybank AMEX Gold. perhaps it's Maybank's problem..any1? However AMEX CS at 1800-88-9559, I am seldom put on hold except for yesterday at 6pm where I wanted to redeem points I was put on hold for maybe 3-5 minutes. Was told many people calling about the RM50 tax thingy and was told the tax will be charged on aniversary date and can use 10,000 points to offset it (not a good offer here as we can used the same points to redeem RM50 cash rebate). |

It isn't a good deal as we can use less than 20000 MR points to redeem a RM100 gift voucher. |

Anniversary date, what does that mean? The expiry month? (like if my card expires April 2014, then I'll get billed coming April?)

QUOTE(ellimist @ Dec 17 2009, 08:09 PM) Anniversary date, what does that mean? The expiry month? (like if my card expires April 2014, then I'll get billed coming April?) That sounds logical if it is confirmed that the service tax is charged according to card anniversary date. But if you apply for a new card, the service tax will be charged soon after the card is approved. This post has been edited by winner: Dec 17 2009, 10:10 PM |

QUOTE(winner @ Dec 17 2009, 10:17 PM) There is no difference as it would only prolong your decision to cancel a card if your card's anniversary date falls in other months. If you have made up your mind, just make the termination immediately. I decided to keep Amex Gold CC as my main card for now. As my yearly rebate earned can surely offset the RM50 tax...Now I have more reasons to go cashless... I hope out G will enforce all merchant must have CC terminals since they will charge us tax, they should do something to benefit CC users... |
