Not necessary. I got Hire Purchase with MBB and they didn't offer any CC. All my MBB CC, I applied them myself!

I guess you have already got too many MBB CCs. That's why MBB doesn't give you anymore

Last year before I applied for Amex Gold credit card, I made an FD placement with MBB. Soon after that they sent me a pre-approved Amex Gold charge card.

You're a big fish to them.

Now my aim is to reduce to one CC from MBB since on my hand, there're two CC - MBB Visa Petronas and MBB Ikhwan AMEX.

Do you mean that you got the extra card upon placing an FD? Hmm, I never heard of this but probably the FD value I known of is not that high...

MBB sent me a pre-approved card few weeks after I opened an FD account with them. During that time, I only had savings and FD accounts with MBB, no CCs or whatsover loans with them. I also did not signed up with any sales agents. I guess it must be the FD effect.

When it's pre-approved, then CC center will directly approve the card without any requirements checking, but lower credit limit..

Got the statement, and it state to register email address at M2U for e-statement, starting March 2010 will be charge RM5 for hardcopy statement.. Any one did that?

I have registered mine long ago and they still send me hardcopy statement. How can I know if I have registered for online statement? Every time I click My Statement in M2U, it will redirect to my statement page where I can view and download e-statement...

So fed up with MBB AMEX Plat cc application, now ended up with Citibank Plat offered to me instead. Sad that not able to join the AMEX group here.

If haven't registered for it, it will prompt T&C for you to accept (which I will cancel/reject it and get back to main page.. )
But previously no extra charges so I just leave it..

Regarding to amex malaysia website, the amex express card which is green color the annual fees is lifetime fee waiver, but not yet update at maybank2u website.

You mean the green charge card?

Indeed it is. Green Charge Card holder also no longer have to fork out RM25/pa to enroll in the Membership Rewards Program either. This was mentioned by a fellow user about two weeks ago.

Yup the green charge card thats I mention.
Before is RM140 annual fess, but now is free for life.

Actually, previously it was free for the first three years and after that you'll have to call it once a year to get the annual fee waived, very much like the Gold Charge Card.
