Hi Guy, now TViXiE can support Mede8er. It is great because you can do the movie art work thru TViXiE in the Mede8er. Further info, read below link:

Thanks....

for that price, i think it's decent to buy one
in some threads, after comparing to popcorn hour C200,Mede8er - 6500A - HDX-1000

They preferred it Mede8er over others(for the almost same price)...after the comparison..

why is C200 in this comparison cos it's in a different class? if you want to play BDiso, I don't think the others except C-200 will do it well and others mention above will have limited capabilities.. so it's for different application.. if it's just for MKV playback, then C-200 would be too high costs to be in this group..

if you don't use RMVB then WDTV live should be fine (and cheaper than brand name 1073 players)

I think WDTV live is the cheapest with a big brand name.

The goods:
1. fanless - no noise at all
2. powerful - play almost all files
3. user friendly interface, direct and intuitive, no need to figure out what an icon is for - everyone in the family can use it
4. bitstream TrueHD, downmix MasterAudio

THe lacks:
1. NMT applications such as BT dowload
2. RMVB support
3. iso menu support
4. internal hdd support

won't talk about PQ as it is too subjective.

bUt I guess if the purpose of buying WDTVlive is to watch files, WDTVlive should not disappoint you - well even if you thought that you have made a mistake... it is relatively easier to recover the cost. If it is to "play around with" the player (want a player that has a lot of other functions), you can go NMT or realtek based.

Mede8er can play BDiso well. We have tested Transformer 2 for 42GB, no problem at all and subtitle and audio can be selected. Just press subtitle or audio button, it will toggle.
