these files can be played smoothly but the audio cannot be decoded internally, which means no sound. (i cannot test bitstream as i don't have AVR yet):

i don't have video cam to record the "actual performance". but base on smooth playback of this:

anyone connected their 1073DD player using just the SPDIF digital out for audio to AVR?
i encounter a little bug. with the SPDIF set to RAW mode, the player can bitstream stereo, DD & DTS for MOVIE without problem.
but for MUSIC mode, (with SPDIF RAW), there's no sound output for all my mp3. if i set to SPDIF LPCM, there's sound output.
if i were to connect additional composite L+R channel analog audio cable, there'll be sound for my mp3.
any other method to solve?

anyone has hdd installed inside their player? wanna ask sth:

do u format your hdd to ntfs using pc first, then install it to the player? will the player request for format again?

or u install the hdd inside the player, then format in it?

i think there's no fix besides re-encode. is that 720p or 1080p?
how about low bitrate ~3mbps but with high reframe?

i think yangxi's only competitor is Apacer AL460 Player. it's RM360. the only con i see is the lack of SPDIF coaxial/optical out.

does ACRyan POHD decode the MP3 files to PCM and bitstream it out through digital out? or it just bitstream the MP3 encoded audio format out?

whether worth the money spent or not depends on the consumer.
should you buy a toyota vios or a honda city or a proton persona? although all are ~1.5 cars, there are many buyers for each of the model. the same goes to yangxi product. if you think acryan is better, the just go for it. if you think saving some money and getting another brand player is fine, then go for it. it all boils down to personal preference.

1073DD doesn't support Dolby TrueHD at all. For DTS HD MA, you'll only get the core DTS only, not the full HD MA.
