icic.. i was wondering when is malaysia can let the ppl buy the phone solely at apple shop. anyway, is there any difference if you get iphone 3G compare to iphone 3GS?

Ridiculous, buying phone need to wait 60 days. its not like buying a car

u can read the forum to get the information on the differences or you can just google. I think if you get an iphone 3G from maxis, maybe they will let u buy it without contract and no need to wait, you can just ask them.

i got asked in the apple distributor shop before and they got old stock for iphone 3G.

if you are fine with iphone 3G and do not want to wait, then you can opt for that phone.

but add another RM400 can get 16gb 3gs...

was reading this topic and that there were people having problems with Phone Star Marketing (Mentari).. Haih wish I've read this earlier coz I've made my IPhone 3GS reservation with them.. Anyone else have issues with them?

i am new to Ipohne 3gs. Told that 3GS is much faster than 3G but it is really paining to know you need to wait for 45-60days to get one from MAXIS. i have asked maxis outlet in lowyat in ground floor and got reply that they will never commit anything on delivery ( may be 3 months or so).

seen so many mobile shops around lowyat itself selling the iphone 3gs ( ranging from 2700 to 3000) . Dont know are they original sets? what is the warranty?( one shop guy told that there is no warranty for iphone as thre is no service center for apple in malaysia). is there any differance between the one selling outside market and the one sold by maxis? ( any applications that dont come out of the box?????).

please throw some light on this as i finally decide to walk in to prebook from maxis today?( suggest any maxis center/MEP who can make faster delivery???) I need 3GS 32GB BLACK with ver 03.01

thija96, i book on 7th oct and the sales girl said if book 32g can get within 3 weeks ...

i book mine on 16th Oct from TTDI Maxis center.
The customer service rep said 30 to 45days as usual but she told me that alot of customers booked last week had gotten their sets d..

how did u find out that it's ready for collection?? did you call them??mine i book on 1st october at maxis, garden... no respond yet....

Thats fast. I booked mine on the 10th. Im starting to write email to them. Maxis center called me today to ask for my reference number. She also asked when did i book. I said 10th. She said i still have to wait at least 30 days . After 30 days only call if still dint get any sms from maxis center. =.=

now still no get ...

and the sales girl said 45 days is working days ... means 9 weeks ... KNS

i hope she want to buffer the time only ...

i wanna know is it safe to buy 3gs from outside market( lowyat mall have many phone dealers having it on pack) ? what is the difference buying from maxis and black market.( atleast in black market there is no contract and it is not locked so that i can use my celcom postpaid)

wow, im like apprehensive after reading all the experiences u guys went thru or rather is goin thru to book an iphone.

but wat the heck, i did go ahead and book one unit on the 15/10, 3GS 16GB Black at Maxis MEP One Utama and will keep my fingers crossed. by a stroke of luck, hoping to get the phone earlier than the one month waiting period. *wishful thinking*

dat means waiting period is only ONE WEEK?!! i so regretted placing a booking at One Utama now. im kinda curious if the colour black/white plays a part in how long u have to wait. which colour is in demand now?
