Last Monday it was raining heavily and lighting, thunders starts roaring in the sky..
i saw a flicker of light.. and POP! its blackout..
too tired to care, i get back to sleep..

the next morning, i saw the electric pole in front of ma house (the one in front of my house gate) was struck by lighting and the cable snaps.. hence the black out..

that evening when i got home they already installed a new pole and replace the cable but the old cable is still hanging around?

few month ago , got one my friend bought a D60 to start photography, and he's very proud of it - the color , the brand
tht time i'm using A300 .. plan to upgrade to A700
everytime we met , he keep poison me w Nikon for better upgrade
at last even when i got my upgrade , he's acting like i hv made a huge mistake

last month , i heard the he sold all his gears and quit using slr , back to pns

yes, all camera brands produces images with varying colors, hues, dynamic range, etc.... this has got a lot to go with the sensor used as well as the processing methods in camera. so you are NOT being psychological. our alpha DOES produce very nice colors. having said that, there will always be a certain degree of "tweakability" for the colors, so you may, in theory be able to get the colors you want, from a different setting compared to the next guy, who may be using the same camera as you.... hope that explains a bit.

Settings: 1/60s. F14.0, ISO200, 24mm focal length

Virtually impossible to track focus on this matte black monster!

price for a price, there is not other camera come close to A700

A550 has new far more superior DRO (HDR) and in raw, u can tweak it even futher more!... and they have a new mode where it auto shot 3 shot with diff Ev, and combine inside the machine they are also now the best 'hand held' antiblur camera with the new SSS design that can go up to 5 stop.. compare to the build-in IS or VR that only helps up to 3 stops.

A550 is very poisoning, go read reviews, there is getting more and more crazy review bout A550 being the next Best APS-C DSLR

ohzmygod : The crumpler strap? I forgotten oh. But you interested? I kinda love the a700 strap more than then crumpler wan. =p

IMHO (reading from comments/reviews), out of the box, no alpha cameras can better the high ISO jpeg images of a5x0 (even the v4 a700). However, if owners of a700, a850 & a900 use DxO, then thats a different story altogether.
* correct me if Im wrong, but thats the impression I get after reading the reviews and comments of a550

Its a pity that DxO is not available for the new a230/a330 series yet.

Have anyone use DxO with their a200 or a300 or a350? How is the high ISO photo after processing with the DxO ?
