I'm not able to login PSN from US, MY, SG, UK, AU, JP. T_T what happen to PSN? Do you guy facing same issue with me? from penang.

29 Sept 2009 starting down until today sad.gif , ask them to check this forum we have so many ppl facing same problem. mad.gif

I think the best is open the ticket with TMNUT and SONY center together and looking on the issue.

Guy please do escalation, the more ppl escalate is the best to make it faster resolve the problem.

I believe some of the area having the same issue, need to report TM NUT on this else we cannot login PSN.

Added on September 30, 2009, 8:17 amso far having problem area list below:
1. Penang (Streamyx)
2. seri kembangan (Streamyx)

My hunch is that PSN MY is parked at one of MY datacenter or ISP, i have insider info shd b ok now.

you can online doesn't means you can access or login anything, example last time msn have facing the same issue, user not able to login msn, but other browsing is working fine. smile.gif

Me too having trouble accessing PSN US and JP last night. EU and MY seems ok. I can log on to MY PSN but I can't play BF1943 as I couldn't login to their server. I keep getting "Login Failed" error. Streamyx SUK!

one word says all... PSN is confirm down... dont blame streamyx too much... as now the PSN is too pack.. there's nothing u can do but try login, if u lucky enuff then u can go in...

lol.i had that problem,too.
but i disconnected from PSN and logged back in and the issue went away.

no problems logging in and out of PSN (as of 2.30am last night)

i think the reason some can sign in & some can't sign becoz PSN server only can hold certain number of player becoz they face certain problem..maybe becoz the earthquake

I think is because recently got alot new game release and the slim ps3 have a good sales. That mean alot of new user join psn and cause the server over load.

live has been operational since elephant age. most isps in the world have adapted to the live traffic to plan their network/routing/etc. psn is since when, 2006?

i get always get this error code, 80710B23 - PlayStation Network is unavailable or too busy to respond.

i believe the problem is come from playstation server.

same with me..cant log in with uk.sg and my psn.showed 80710B23.what happen..i think this not a problem with streamyx..my streamyx still can browse any web..dah 3 hari geng susah nak log in..sometimes dc je..boring2..

i think its streamyx prob, considering i cant stream videos frm megavideo, dailymotion etc + PSN for the past 2 days, prior to tht, everything was fine and dandy

but still, managed to squeak some time to dl uncharted 2 demo and played the mp yesterday lul biggrin.gif

Samoan earthquake, maybe...

I start to experience the symptoms of difficulties of accessing PSN since around 1:30am on 30/9. Which is almost about the time Samoan earthquake occurs (29-9 17:48:11 GMT/ 30-9 1:48:11 MYT). But this can't be confirmed yet.

Monday is still OK as I remember signing in to download FFXIII trailer was a breeze. Sunday was playing Fat Princess the whole day.

Haven't logged on to psn for ages. before 3.01 keep getting dc'd for 3-4 months ever since the streamyx hiccup.

Then reading all the negative press about 3.01, couldn't bother updating it even though already downloaded. waiting for a more stable version.

but streamyx is particularly bad today or last night la. Earlier it was ok. So must be the earthquake...

geez thousands are dead in indonesia, just a few hundred miles south of us and we're griping about PSN and internet speed. I'm not preaching guys, its the same for me too. I think we're losing our humanity when we couldn't care less other ppl are suffering.

coz mine is using 4MB and i do speed test yesterday it is ok. But when log on to psn, it take ages..

Need to take few try only managed to get in..

Maybe psn congested due to too many ppl log in and download Uncharted 2 and Lost planet 2 demo?

me also on 4mbit but only had problems connecting to usa psn last night
others were ok

it is due to our regional/local network infrastructure. if the servers are really getting hammered, why there is no epic public outcry from other regions (usa, eu, etc) ?

during evening, i can log in to SG & UK psn only. Others like HK, US, MY very hard to access.

at night all also take few try to log in.

It still can log in but take some times, unlike usual that it just take few secs for me to log in to any region psn.

PSN is one of the things that I hate to troubleshoot, PS3 seems like a Black Box to me. (Ironically my PS3 color is Piano Black)

Ran wireshark to my PS3 traffic last night trying to decipher what was actually going down under the wire when PSN is trying to sign in. But all I get are just a bunch of SSL encrypted traffic. No luck, then.

I can assure everyone, there's no problem with PSN. It's our beloved, monopoly jacka$$es of the world's slowest broadband pookies , streamyx problem. And they seem to keep quiet about it.

Anyone complained ? Anyone asked them what's going on ?

I can load videos ,go websites like normal , even the ng4/ign that aaron5829 mentioned i can load it.

But still cant get into any psn account that i have.

oh btw the only site i cant get excess is the stremyx website. can u guys get into stremyx website?

Can't login to PSN starting from 28 September. Location : Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.

Oddly enough, I can download Uncharted 2 demo in less than 5 hours using the PS3 itself. Web surfing is also OK.

Even Lowyat... is damn slow...

Just keep it short and simple. Make ur report and get the report number, ask them when will fix. then call next day and give them ur report number again for them to check.

i call streamyx they ask me to ask sony to send over their details about their server or what not. i then called sony and they asked me to ask streamyx to contact them regarding this issue. Im already fed up so ill just go have a beer and use the pc

i spoke to the supervisor and he is pushing the blame over to the customer and SONY he wouldnt even contact Sony to try to fix the problem togheter. I also swore at a level 1 tech for a good part of 25 mins because he told me to watch my language. Excellent CS

Looks like Streamyx is now having problem, even PSN also got problem.

There's an online game that a lot of Malaysian cannot login for few days, also started from 29th September. That game called Heroes of Newerth.

They made it sounds like Windows and Mac is using TCP/IP while PS3 is using some sort of an Alien technology from year 2020. laugh.gif

suddenly ok? i guess they kena marah kau kau, i told sony CS that after 2 hrs on the phone with Tmnut that they asked me to call sony, cuz i suggested for them to check their connection to wherever sony has their server or something.

so i then called sony to see if i can ask them to send an email over to TMnut with their details for Tmnut to troubleshoot.

Sony said : "We dont give this information to public, I think its the ISP's job to contact us"

So i called Tmnut.

Me : "Hey why not u go call sony now and actually do a job. Dats what they said." then hanged up


As a parting gift u can add that u are giving them 24hours and if they fail you are going to terminate the service.

after 3 cigarettes im back up on PSN

i hope tmnet dont adopt super-aggressive approach like some ISPs in Europe.

Extreme cases some heavy users got their contract terminated. thats scary.

Thats why online gaming is affected as well.

Even tho we signed up for unlimited broadband package, there's Fair Usage Policy... sigh

The only reason I use TMNut primarily is because got no cap (only use P1 when I impatient tongue.gif ), if got cap, might as well enjoy more speed. rclxms.gif

all ISP have this policy.... to control traffic bandwidth...

Anyway, once you have the report number go over to http://complaint.cfm.org.my/ and sign up for an account.

Log in and place a report for Poor Service and explain what you understand of the issue we're currently facing -- "Websites not loading up, have to constantly refresh to get anything to work, loss of productivity", etc and provide the date since you started experiencing the problem (Should be around 29 September or 30 September) with as much detail as you can spare. Write down in the form about what you think of the issue (that it's related to throttling, IP headers, or whatever) and mention that sending a technician down to fix your line locally won't do anything because it is an issue on the ISP side and has nothing to do with the phone line.

In my own letter I added at the end that I want TMNet to admit that they have a problem that's currently going on that many users are suffering from and that they need to acknowledge and fix it and revert the settings back to the way they were before, or at least fix it so that the websites don't have any more loading issues.

I submitted my application a few hours ago and the status only just changed to "Pending (Provider Acknowledged)" so TMNet definitely knows about the issue. If enough of us do it they will have no choice but to act on it.



I just reg and lodged a complain. Let's flood the CFM.

I lodged a report to sonyhotline 1800814963 and the dude said he is aware of it and looking at it, if you lodge a report to tmnet, do they know what PSN is?

OMg. i just came back form class. trun on my ps3. to my surprise im login. tried every acc and it works.
So happy to finally use my Rm100 psn card.

Then i went to the psn store. O_O i cant. every account cant go in. It takes a long time to load , then later it says that this service is not available in your country/region.

WHATS WRONG WITH THE STORE NOW

everyone who failed to sign in please sent PSN asia technical support a message something like these:

My PS3 failed to connect to PSN since 29th of September 2009. After some research in local forum, I found that 98% of the users of Malaysia's ISP: TM Net Streamyx failed to connect to PSN at the same day as well. I called local ISP technical support but they said there is no problem at all since I can connect to internet as usual. I've tried every solution I could (Port forwarding and static IP) but nothing seems to work.

for your infomation,
my connection type is PPPoE ADSL
PS3 is using wired connection.
my WAN IP range is 188.101.xxx.xxx
my DNS address is 202.188.xxx.xxx

I'm looking forward to your reply ASAP.

they have an announcement. but for ppl in Penang and Bayan Baru. They say that :

MY psn ID (main ID) = able to sign in, but disconnected after that.
UK psn ID = OK

came home frm work, managed to sign in, jumped on bed, finally saw the uncharted 2 menu, clicked multiplayer, "couldnt get ticket" wth. went to look, screamyx dc. meh hai wor. now finally back up. hope it stays on.

u mean the uncharted 2 mission coop is jz that small part??? omg. such a disappointment man... waited 2 days to play it...

the game is darn gud, but after the special treatment we got with Lost Planet 2... which was such a long demo, im not used to the shortness of uncharted. hehe.
