Can anyone recommend me a worth buying gaming headset which about rm600 at most... thanks

I am about to get myself an AKG K420, but would like to get some second opinions from other first.

I listen to a variaties of music... mainly pop, some soft rock, some jazz, some musicals... and mainly mp3 from my iphone. My requirement for a headphone must be portable, not too bulky.. and must be comfortable. Also, i do not need something that is too bassy... something balanced.. and musical.

What do you think? Anyone has first hand experience with K420? does it fit my usage?

why i found that the sound quality is better when i am listening songs without the FiiO E5? The sound is mixed up when I plug with the headphone amp. Should I go for iBasso D2+ Boa or T3/T3D?

E5 + High End IEM (Yes, the 530 can be considered that edi) = Not So Fun. Something I'm gonna experince personally when my TripFis arrive...

IMHO anyway.

The LOD + T3/T3D/D2+ should (again IMHO) be a significant improvement.

Aha, n thts y im now hunting a reliable amp...( provided tht i got some huge year end bonus this week!) E5 is a notch improvement to ur bass and detail but just noticable by ears i would have to say. Get a better amp+LOD that can drive ur SE530. Provided u willing to spend more... Lol!

IEMs below RM400 with a little bass = amped RE0 IMHO.

For moar bass = Atrios, really.

Just remember an amp is technically nothing more than that -> an amplifier. Give it a good clean signal and it makes everything nice and loud. Any imperfections in sound (say, crappy low bitrate encoding / mastering) will be amplified as well.

This is also why an amp needs an LOD to bypass the normally low powered (and hissy/noisy/generally crap) internal amps in the DAP, unless the Headphone Out is pristine and clean.

koss portapro is the way to go! love the retro style and the sound quality for a portable headphone is not bad at all considering it came out in mid 80's. lightweight and comfortable too, put it on for hours and it didn pain the neck and ears
