isolation is still the best with the iem especially with the comply foam.
it fully suit my ear shape n give lot of comfort too
y don`t take the iem??? as i personal think tht iem isolation normally better than headphones~~ :P

- need to be use at laptop, ipod touch and the sony walkman series
- using it for drumming. need to have a good noise isolation.
- listens mostly towards rock music. but need an earphone that can hear the drums clearly
budget - around rm150~ preferably under rm150.

thinking of getting the soundmagic pl-20. is it ok?

why dont u grab PL21? its a balance phone with added bass....

as for listening to drums clearly.... u need a good source files too.... if ure using 128kbps mp3, u'll be having a hard time differentiate various drums sounds....

thanks for the reply. Well I've narrowed down to AKG k518, ATH WS50, ATH Es7 and ATH SQ5

Those cans have really few reviews on the net as they're not so popular in Malaysia or even western countries. So far I gather that WS50 has strong bass, ES7 being fancy and shiny, too expensive. SQ5 most people like its comfort.
