If you're always in air-cond room, then d2000 should b alrite, otherwise you might feel uncomfortable after using for a while coz the pads are leather, so you might consider the AD900 instead if you're not.

Hey guys, need some help here. My earbuds just got busted, and after looking at the thread, I'm still confused *pardon my primitive brain*

I'm looking for either IEMs or earbuds to replace that one I lost. Budget would be around the price range of the RE0. Any recommendations? The earphones would be used on an Ipod most of the time, genre very diverse... :S also, if I'll need an amp, please also inform. Heh.

Sorry, forgot to say that I'm not in Malaysia at the moment. The AKG K330 seems to be half of what my budget is over here though. Was wondering if there were indeed any IEM around that price, or is the RE0 superior than any other at that level?

Hey guys, question on which ones among these are better in your opinion.. Would ideally like one portable pair, and one non-portable pair.

-budget
I'd say RM250 max for the non-portable, but if it's really *really* good I am willing to stretch it to around RM300.
The portable max will be RM150.

- what you currently have (mp3 players, amps, soundcard etc)
In-built desktop/laptop soundcard, iPod nano, SE(Sony Ericsson) handsfree, Sony MDR XD100.

- what type of usage (movies/ gaming/ music etc)
Mostly for music in the office, and some commuter travel. Noise canceling is a nice-to-have (optional tho), and would like a comfy pair. Aesthetics count, so would like both pairs in white (most of my gadgets are white/silver, would like to keep it in theme hahaha!) but otherwise if SQ is good colour doesn't matter.

- source (i.e. flac, mp3 etc)
MP3, ranging from 160(VBR) - 320kbps(CBR) and some FLAC.

- type of music listen to (classical, jazz, metal, etc)
Jazz, pop, rock, alternative, classical, orchestra, musicals. I'm not much of a basshead, will prefer to have details on vocals and individual instruments like guitar and piano.

- personal requirements like type (closed, open, cirumaural, IEM etc).
Would prefer over-ear headphones (regardless portable or not) since I'm not a fan of IEMs. They kinda hurt my ears after an hour or so.

I kinda narrowed it down to these, but if there are others which are better lemme know =)
