I'd say give Nani some time, it's OK to criticise him if he is having a poor game.
Try not to be too harsh on him, this kid got talent and has a powerful two footed. His crosses seem a little off but his lobbing skill is brilliant. Sometimes a player can make you eat back your own words, I'm sure Nistelrooy never expect that he is now playing again with the world most expensive player where he used to critise him during his last season in Man Utd. And yesterday game, finally a defender scored a goal for us. Looks like the goals is coming from all department now. Was worried when Scholes handed the ball, luckily the referee just gave some warning. I'll treat it as the compensation for 1st half where Scholes volley in a great ball but blocked by the defender's hand in the box |

Scholesy was unlucky and it was not intended.
Thus the ref gave a warning. The referee overall was a bit lenient yesterday. I think pretty okay so far. On Nani, did anyone notice he was kept being pushed when he tried to go pass the opponents??? They couldn't stop him so just pushed him down |

Ferdinand was solid yesterday. A lot of clearences from him and fletcher+scholes in midfield really dominated well
Wasn't nani's best match tho =P |

QUOTE(nimrod2 @ Sep 27 2009, 12:44 PM) well i think it's sometimes frustrating to watch him play. he often takes too much time on the ball and wastes alot of opportunity. No complaints on the Stoke match. The players got the job done.there are many times where he could thread the pass or just simply take the shot for himself, but he just holds on to the ball. maybe he lacks of confidence or trying too hard who knows. he just needs to make up his mind better. his style of play is too readable. well fletcher was kinda crappy two seasons ago. but now he's matured. i believe nani was crappy two seasons ago. but he's still the same today. ahaha that is the point. there is no improvement. well i believe the reason MU is doing so well now is cos the fringe players like fletcher, o'shea and maybe evra has stepped up their game. now there is no weakness in all the positions of MU. last time there were excellent players (rooney, ronaldo, scholes maybe?) and the others were abit of the "weak link" now everyone has stepped up their game and they are a good team all around as a whole. much much better. However, I agree that Nani is making all the wrong decisions, and remains the most frustrating player in the squad for me. In flashes, Nani has shown he has the ability. It's the consistency that is the problem. Hopefully with Ronnie gone, he will get a run of games that will help hem get that. By the way, Fletch has improved because he's now playing centre midfield. His crappy days was when he was playing wide right. I used to groan out loud whenever I saw Ferguson playing that way. Also, since when has Evra ever been a fringe player?? |

QUOTE(Mayomythical @ Sep 27 2009, 02:58 PM) With all due respect, Vidic and Evra was pretty rubbish the first season they're here. The next season, was a different story. It is good to see Giggs going for a good run at this time of his career, but we cannot depend on him every game to come in and provide. The current wingers have to step up. |

QUOTE(MADReaLJL @ Sep 27 2009, 11:12 AM) valencia played worse than nani last night but people dont slag him off that much.. he already played in england 3 years before he joined us Valencia is still new. So it's forgiven. But wait 6 months, the knife will be out. Won't be long before people complain about him not being anywhere near as good as Ronaldo was for us if he doesn't perform next few months. Typical nature. We expect success almost straight away. even saf said nani played quite well QUOTE(Mayomythical @ Sep 27 2009, 02:58 PM) No complaints on the Stoke match. The players got the job done. Even when playing centrally just a few seasons back, Fletcher's form fluctuates. Good-very good against the big teams, but generally against the smaller teams he never really perform in most games. He was average-decent in most. He just wasn't able to stamp his mark and look almost scared to play forward passes too much. Even me, one of his loyal defenders in here over the years thought he would probably have gone after Anderson came and conquer that midfield in his first season, and with Possesbon showing potential there that season. After that Fletcher really stepped up and became a regular for us there. Right now we can't do without him in the big games. It can change easily in a few months/just a few seasons. So I say let's wait till it's a foregone conclusion that someone won't make it here. However, I agree that Nani is making all the wrong decisions, and remains the most frustrating player in the squad for me. In flashes, Nani has shown he has the ability. It's the consistency that is the problem. Hopefully with Ronnie gone, he will get a run of games that will help hem get that. Also, since when has Evra ever been a fringe player?? Added on September 27, 2009, 5:38 pmBtw, did anyone else think Giggsy would play as well as he has on the wings ever again after seeing him more centrally over the last few seasons? I really thought his time was over there. In fact, last season he hardly plays there right. But this season somehow he became our best winger so far.. and he's 35 years old. Most wingers his age would have retired by now. VDS in goal, 39. Scholes in midfield.. still our best midfielder, 34. Giggs, 35 still the wizard for us on the wings. Fletcher broke through into the first team at the same time we got Ronaldo. That's 5-6 seasons ago! He was 'shit' until 2 seasons back where he turned it around. Nani is only starting his third..there are many times where he could thread the pass or just simply take the shot for himself, but he just holds on to the ball. maybe he lacks of confidence or trying too hard who knows. he just needs to make up his mind better. his style of play is too readable. well fletcher was kinda crappy two seasons ago. but now he's matured. i believe nani was crappy two seasons ago. but he's still the same today. ahaha that is the point. there is no improvement. well i believe the reason MU is doing so well now is cos the fringe players like fletcher, o'shea and maybe evra has stepped up their game. now there is no weakness in all the positions of MU. last time there were excellent players (rooney, ronaldo, scholes maybe?) and the others were abit of the "weak link" now everyone has stepped up their game and they are a good team all around as a whole. much much better. 100 Reasons Dimitar Berbatov is Better Than Cristiano Ronaldo QUOTE When Berbatov gets a tap-in on a platter, he fully credits the assist-provider. LOL'ed at this one. When Ronaldo gets a pass like that, he runs the length of the pitch, tears off his shirt, and reveals a tattoo that says "I Belong To Real Madrid". |
