this one you're limited to Sunway Lagoon, food and drinks expensive. i go there, ask drink = RM 3, i forget it la. go thirsty until i reach home also nmind.

for me this is the wost event i ever been. The part i can't tahan is the Mcee keep so hard sell Canon and claim non Canon user is doing mistake by not buying canon camera. T_T. Keep drag time and finally ask us to leave at 10.20pm. Till now, no result yet....

sure got lotsa fellas stay back 1. Lotsa kiasu ppl who wud do anything just to win a 500D. There was even a girl at the start of event who climbed up a really high wall for pics. I tot she was gonna fall off n splat on the floor.

some of us are just lucky. my participation plan FAILED because client failed to coordinate well on Friday, so Saturday i need to go back to location for some shoot.

so end up i enter the place as media and meet with a few people there. xavierchan, ianho, tytons, bunvirus, vincent pang (didn't manage to say hi to him, was on phone.), saimatkong and yushin.

when they say event ends at 9pm oso I knew will end in disaster oredi. Just imagine the Sony events I've been to, only 50 participants takes us about 1.5 hours to upload our pics then another 1-2 hours for the judges to make choice. How did Canon think they can cope with 2000 ppl if they didn't stop pic submissions by about 3pm?

is it Canon n Sony's bad management to have this type of problem
or is it jz us Malaysian management?

if each person take 1.5 minutes to upload 1 photo. it'll take about 5 minutes to upload 3 photo, not counting delays.

2000 x 5 minutes = 10000 minutes (166.66hrs)

total time is reduced by # of computers.

based on the schedule,
3:00 pm Photo Downloading
8:00 pm Prize Announcement & Presentation

so that's 5 hours. screening the pictures won't be easy, so assuming judges are super fast to decide in 1.5 hrs. this means that of the 5 hrs, the photos must be uploaded ALL within 3.5hrs.

so from the 166.66hrs to reduce to 3.5hrs, you'll need about 48 computers.

that also we not consider the time people take to sit, connect. upload. leave. and so on.
