plz dun flame me : i m a supernoob n i weak at english too .. although i google it but i still dunno what the difference between x2 550 be with x3 720 be .. since two can be overclocked until 4 core .. quad-core .... both also can reach 4 gbz .... is it only difference in output volt ?

get the fact right
can be overclocked until 4 core : it's UNLOCK to 4 core (but based on the batch and luck) both also can reach 4 gbz : required good cooling, and not suitable for 24/7 is it only difference in output volt : power consumption higher than retail phenom II X4 after unlock |

what u want to compare?
x3 720 95W x2 550 80W at least seek the info for each of them.. unlocking is not guaranteed.. |

QUOTE(felixfoo @ Oct 18 2009, 09:51 AM) thanks ya Well it all depends.. If u buy 550BE and u were unsuccessfully unlock it u will still get 2 cores to use but..nope .. my question is not about the watt ... basiclly .... i asking the entire different btw ii x2 550 be and ii x3 720be after overclocking .. since both can to 4 core .. why i dun save up rm 85 and go for iix2 550 since both also not guarantee.. The price is about the same but performance in some cases are better.. QUOTE(felixfoo @ Oct 18 2009, 10:21 AM) Yup the 720BE should be easier to oc due to it's unlock multiplier.. Even at stock setting u change the cpu multi to 15x u already get 3ghz But with the X4 620 u have to play-play with HTT and it is kinda limited in tweakability |

i wan ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO
clearly 550BE will hav higher temperature then my old 4800+..but in the day its 55 degree idle..at night its 41 degree idle..so so much different in temp.. 4800+ will idle at 40 degree only..i guess better cooling needed... bro bobiac...u pampered ur 550BE too much with water cooling lah..now it cant stand air cooling dee |
