42c is quite ok ler, my cpu using CCF idle at 37~38c full load never reach above 52~54c when i oc..
FYI if the temp is around 29~30 i think maybe something wrong with ur temp reading, either that or u r locked inside a deeply cooled air-cond room

Coz ASFAIK during the time i used my old M mobo the vcore will only turn red when u change it to above 1.5v
